Wayne Bridge or Aleksandar Kolorov?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Garrido has been the best of the three - the club could've saved itself 28 million and been no worse off. Depressingly Kolarov actually looked good at Lazio - hopefully he'll do what Bale and Evra did but he's short of pace, his positioning's awful and he's endlessly wasteful on the ball.

Huge disappointment.

Yep, he can play there. I see no reason to buy another LB this summer as long as we got Boateng and Zabba:-)

Exactly my thoughts. Bridge plays 1 decent game for West Ham and everybody forgets how terrible he was all of last season.
Disagree on Garrido though. I think as a defender he's much better than Kolorov for sure.

Bridge was the pick of a well-drilled defence yesterday, that let Spurs have the majority of the ball, but prevented them from either reaching the bye-line, or from shooting too regularly from the danger area inside the box.

Bridge has steadily improved the longer he has played for us, but I still have the suspicion that he's better taking the ball forward, than defending in any 'last ditch' sense.

Wonder whether we'll try to buy him if we stay up. His wages are a likely sticking point.

i really really hope you stay up Walmai....i really do. And if you do, do you really want Bridge? i guess at the right price it all makes sense, huh?

Kolarov over Bridge all day. Bridge is fucking hopeless. At least Kolarov brings goals.

Spanish Gaz was our best leftback though. Should never have got rid. He was on fire when we signed Bridge and then that was the end of him.

Walmai, West Ham HAVE to stay up ...... the Premiership needs you guys and it would be a far poorer place without you. Any proper football fan would be of the same opinion. Congratulations on the point you earned against 'Arry's boys, by the way.

If West Ham were to try and buy Bridge, what sort of wage would you be able to offer i.e. would it would be enough to make the player consider taking the pay cut to stay ?? Or would the money spent be better used in strengthening another area of the side for next season's campaign ??

Personally i think he isn't fully over the injury, n next season a lot of you will be sharin a fuckin large humble pie.... but how about this for an option, it is becoming increasingly likely Clichy will leave Arse in the summer as they wont sort his wages/ contract out, I wanted him last summer n would take him in a heartbeat even though i've got Kolarov on the back of my away shirt

1. The pleasure, at WHL, was all mine, thanks Mik. Been a while since we completed a season without conceding in either match against them. The point didn't go amiss either.

2. I doubt that there'd be much common ground between Bridge's advisors and the WHU board, if I am honest. They're doing what they can to reduce the profligacy of the previous board - Keiron Dyer anyone - and, having had endured the disaster of signing that clown McCarthy, I'm sure we're more likely to be treated to an unknown young LB from Albanian league 2 or wherever.

3. Next season's campaign could well be in the NPower and even if not I get the feeling that there's better value for the squad as a whole on a limited budget. I give Bridge his dues, he's worked hard since the nightmare of Walcott's visit. But he's injury prone to say the least and ludicrously overpaid.
