it's brightened up my day this has

I mean the thought that any international side could find room for Jo at the moment is quite surreal

The fact that the side in question is Brazil....well hello my name is Salvador Dali, how do you do?

Actually this is a good idea for a thread, players who have careers that outweigh their ability.

Christian Karembeau has to be winner hands down. As footballer he was barely average yet he has couple of Champion's League winners medals not to mention World Cup AND European Championship winners medals.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Jo being included in the Brazil squad (and possibly getting onto the pitch) can only be good for his profile and valuation; might add a few million onto the price we get when we sell him.

i don't believe he's on the market. What leads you to believe he's for sale?

cheers

Haha my heart goes out to Jo! somebodys on a wind up mission. the site have got it wrong! Valencia's Jonas is the player called up...our Jo wouldn't even feature if Brazil's top 20 forwards were injured he is that far down the pecking order.

Apologies Doomy, should have inserted the word 'eventually' immediately before 'sell'. To quote an expression which I believe is in parlance on your side of the Atlantic, my bad.

Well in Jo lad - you deserve it.

Where's the game being played? Surprised to see so many South America-based players in the squad.
