As for Mourinho, no doubt a quality manager, but wouldn't want him. As good as he is a manager, he's also annoying, a moaner and controversial.

I'm open minded about it.

Ideally I'd like to find a young, inspirational manager who grows with the club but for may own personal preference, that wouldn't have been Bob or any other Italian manager. I'd like City to be a cavallier attacking club & I would have happily sacrificed 5 years to build that. If we're just going to build a functional club that wins at all costs, I'd just as soon have Mourinho as Bob, but neither inspire me football wise. Real play better football than most Prem teams including us tbf & that's a plus point for Jose. I'm happy enough to keep Bob though, if we're happy with being functional & dull, provided he keeps us improving.

If we win stuff but play dull football I'm going to celebrate a few trophies then chuck it in.

To be fair, we won't draw Leicester/Notts County/2nd string Villa & Reading every year! The semi will be our first real test.

The biggest problem I would have with Mourinho is not the style of football he plays (because he wins things with it) but the fact that this would most definitely only be a temporary position for him.

He has not been at a club for more than 2 seasons I believe... would he bring us stability?

I suppose you could argue that he would turn us into a successful team and when he leaves it is likely that any manager could just step in and continue but still....

Mancini winning the FA Cup would not having me wanting him to stay. Sure, I want a cup, but so did Spurs when Ramos got them the Carling Cup.

Top four is a minimum, regardless of the FA Cup. Silverware is fantastic for fans who haven't won jack shit for years, but top four is THE minimum requirement for the owners and the future of this project.

Also, people seem to toss the entertainment factor to one side far too easily IMO. Fair enough, you all know at this stage that I'm for entertainment first and foremost - its why I got into football - but more importantly, our owners took the club over and want to turn it into the most successful club on the planet because they want to promote the fact that there's a lot to come from the middle east besides war and oil... whatever the actual reason is, they want City to be represented in the best possible light and us turning out sheer dross most of the time will not wash with them for very long.

They are not stupid and know that success takes time, as do most of us, but there is no hard rule that you must first play dross football to achieve this.

Jose Mourinho has reiterated his desire to return to the Premier League to tackle "unfinished business" after admitting he "misses England".

The Portuguese coach left Chelsea in 2007 after a hugely successful spell at Stamford Bridge before winning the Serie A title and Champions League with Inter Milan last season.

He is currently at Real Madrid in Spain - where he is contracted for another three years - but maintains he is planning to return to England sooner rather than later.

"I miss England and my next job will be in England," he told The Sun. "There is unfinished business.

Well my one concern about Mourinho when he was at Inter was that he would come to us for a year or so and then leave for Spain because he hadn't tried there.

I honestly believe his next move will be somewhere he can settle for years. Its clear now that he loves England the best, so if there's a sniff of getting him, then do it Sheikh. I used to think Chelsea played very "machine like" and slightly negatively, but after the shit we've endured for long spells this season, I thin he'd be a breath of fresh air.
