Game in hand is The Ars at home though, and despite our fears they also still have to go to Anfield and Stamford Bridge as well as popping over to our place.

Id take our run-in over theirs, along with the Champs Lge games that will hopefully wear them out. I hope they get to the semi and get beat after Extra Time.

True but the big ones they won last year that we were banking on them to fail in - Arsenal and Chelsea - were on their own patch and they also didnt have european games to bother them either. This time they have to go and play in Chelsea's house, as well as Liverpools and ours. Arsenal too will be smarting from losing to them in October after chucking away a 2 goal lead.

Theyd swap places with us in the league in a heartbeat if they had the opportunity.

Exactly, they're incredibly strong at home but I doubt they'll win those two away games - even games like Wigan away I can see Spurs losing. We just have to make sure we don't lose to them at home this season - on current form they'll smash us.

The comparisons are there though. In looking at what points Spurs expect to get it's realistci to write of some as no pointers just like we might with City away games at Chelsea ( wise thinking) Liverpool and maybe even Everton.It's the other games that are most likely to be the key ones.Those games wher you really expect 3 points like Stoke,WHU,Blackburn or whoever.
The team that gets a surprise result and wins the "easy"ones will get 4th most probably.And it could still so easily go down the May 10th.

It will be a fantastic game to watch thats for sure.The neutral will love it.

I really think we have the beating of them this time around, very happy they still have the strain of champions league with two tough fixtures coming up against Real Madrid.

They have a great midfield it has to be said and if we can stop them playing we should be okay.

They actually have no striker scoring them goals on a regular basis.Roman Pavlyuchenko is the top scorer with 7 goals.Defoe has only scored 2 all season both in the one game only recently.If Crouch scores against us again i think i will just give up.

The defence is decent but far from a tight operation, we should be more than capable of breaking them down.

Very true about them inviting us on to them spurs love to hit sides on the break but im sure Mancini will have that point drilled into the players prior to the game.A points cushion would be the ideal situation but i do feel we have the beating or them being at home will be a huge advantage.I'm very pleased it's being played with a couple of fixtures left afterwards as it will hopefully somewhat relieve the chance of it being a decider/cup final sort of game.

I can definitely see us beating them. Imo the game last year only changed in their favour when Barry started to struggle through injury (& then went off). Most of their best play came after that. Previously, it was mainly long ball to Crouch & it was eventually Crouch who won them the game, not the clever football or pace. I recon that's how they'll play it this time too. I don't think Harry will take us on at football on our pitch unless we're weakened again. If he does, I think we'll crush them in midfield & beat them (provided the game still matters one way or the other of course).

I came on this thread thinking it was going to be a moanfest that we were being asked to play this hugely important match just 4 days before the FA Cup Final on 14th May!

That's the thing that's got my back up - the date of this fixture.

It's about time we got our own back on this lot anyway - my dislike of them goes all the way back to my trip down to the 81 Cup Final
