***Official Balo Watch Thread***

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

police asked him why he had £5,000 in cash in his back pocket and he quite reasonably replied "Because I am very rich."

regardless of his abysmal attitude on the field (despite flashes of brilliance), he keeps making me laugh off of it

possibly yes....but I wouldn't exclusively the reason why

oh and FYI....

1 - Carlos Tevez
As with Rooney, Tevez is a player that one can build a team around. And as with Rooney, when that player is absent then problems start. Roberto Mancini's cautious strategy at Manchester City is built around Tevez's tireless running, attitude and skill. There are few other players in the world who can fill his boots, never mind anyone in the City squad. Tevez has the ability to drag a team through virtually on his own - just ask Neil Warnock. Tevez's adaptability is underrated too - as well as being a focal point to an attack, he can play wide of a central striker too as well as a second 'drop-off' forward.

Oh, and then there are the goals - seven in 19 starts for West Ham, 19 in 49 at Manchester United (where he usually had to play second fiddle at best to Rooney, Ronaldo and Berbatov), and a whopping 41 in 58 for City. Goal stats like that suggest a selfish player, but Tevez also tops the goals/assists chart for this season. In short, he's a pretty useful man to have in your side.

yeah but balotelli has scored a whole 10 goals. Tevez just runs around like a headless chicken and gets lucky every now and again.

He's certainly started to talk as if he's realised he's a City player & not just here on holiday between Milan Clubs. Let's hope it translates onto the pitch. Even at this stage, he could make a big difference to our season & also to people's perception of Bob's abilities & judgement.

Knowing City; Balotelli will score ten more goals & look like a worldbeater, then we'll sack Bob & bring in Mourinho.

I just laughed. Classic XD.

This stuff I don't mind, he can keep up this kind of behaviour for all I care off the pitch. Just stop getting carded:-) If he could just act a pro 2hrs a day (training and then matches) he can go total apeshit crazy the rest of the week for all I care:)

That Sun article had a list of the major controversial things he's done and I have to say, compared to some of the shit we end up reading about from footballers, it ain't a lot.

I think I would find it really funny if he played for someone else but right now the only entertainment I want from him is quality football and that has been very rare of late.

Dougs hit the nail on the head. Balotelli is all very entertaining and really funny so long as your team who isn't lumbered with him. Sadly, the jokes on us.

Too many Balotelli junk stories, and far too few about his on-field performances being a positive rather than all this sideshow shite.
