Could have done without that with Micah being injured as well.

Hoepfully Zabs will be back, he is a right back afterall.

Fuck. As much as I think he's a liability at the minute, he's another full back on the sidelines. Hurry back Zabba.

Actually, if I had my way, it'd be Zabba at left back and Micah at RB.

i agree, i just haven't heard anything that points to him coming back any time soon - would love for his dad to recover and for pablo to come back ASAP and play his heart out these last few months

Apparently Bayern Munich are interested in signing him. They are planning an overhaul of their back four & it's either him or (/and?) Howedes for the CB position.

What would the chances of getting Ned back be? I dont know whats in his agreement.

I always rated him and he can do a job on either side.

I think emergency recalls/signings only work in the case of goalkeepers, but could be wrong. If so, he's still young enough to not have to be named in the 23-man squad, though, isn't he?

ned is 24 - wouldn't qualify under the U21 rules. and season long loans to other PL clubs means no recall clauses - he's not coming back. it's going to be either Boyata or SWP for Sunderland i would guess - maybe the 5-3-2 doug mentioned a while back with Boyata, Lescott, and Kompany at CB and Kolarov and SWP at wing backs? i hope we bring ned back next year as a club trained player for europe, but he's not an option for the run in this season.

I thought so too until Darren Ferguson was sacked from Preston, Baconface recalled two loaned players, they were both outfield from what I remember. It was around xmas last year?

I wonder if we are missing a good right back might make Mancini think sod it I hade better just go out and attack and sod the defensive stuff. 4 goals should do it and who cares who is at right back?

Any discussion on signing an emergency RB begins and ends with one name.

To be honest whenever he has played as a CB he has looked far more composed than at RB/LB.

I dont think Ned is the perfect answer, but hes competant and he's playing well in the premiership at the moment.

I think that Ned can still be a great player, not world class but I think he's got something?

He's certainly shown more at right back for Sunderland than Boateng has for us(admittedly it is Boateng's first season in England). Is Ned's 'natural' position centre back?
