I'd have gone for Carroll in January.
I made no secret of it despite what haters were saying, belting player.

I'd like to see Young in our squad aswell.
He was never me,me,me but always you, you, you

The difference in not playing that outdated 4-4-2 and having someone intelligent in the midfield in Wilshere who makes the whole team play is amazing yet not suprising.

That team is more than good enough to win Euro 2012.

Ok you tell me what you want to bet and what odds :

Spain or Germany to win it for me with Villa as top goalscorer.

You don't think with that team and this new formation that we couldn't beat any of them or Holland, France, Portugal?

Yes the media and some fans overate the England team but there are as many who underate it, with the right system we could do anything, we have some great players in our squad.

Decent team with a poor manager.Yes we COULD beat any of the teams you listed but in a tournament I doubt that we would.More than good enough to win Euro 2012 I think is a media type comment and a total overhype.

and i suppose that everyone's favourite next england manager Redknapp is a great manager who should replace the poor capello? I won't even tell you to look at their records, you should know that already.

I think City have more than a chance of winning the premier league next year.
I think Stoke have more than a chance of winning the FA Cup this year.
Just like i think England have more than a chance of winning Euro 2012 with that team and that formation.

That is not a media type comment, that is someone who know's his football type of comment.

The media were right in between 2002-2010, we were capable of winning the tournaments we competed in, even the last world cup, we sailed through qualification without a blimp, had a supposedly world class striker in world class form, everyone was at their peak age, why shouldn't the media have hyped up our chances? We had a team of Terry, Ferdinand, Cole, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney going into a tournament, only an idiot would say we never stood a chance of winning it, especially when the likes of Uruguay got to the semi's.

Time to let Mr Kompany look after Gyan, and also Mr De Jong to introduce himself to Mr Gyan in the first 15 minutes. That should sort the problem out.

I am delighted he did him in an England game and not against City. Great bit of play for his goal.

Would have done Vinny or Terry or Vidic or anyone else just the same; it was good play. Should have been another defender coming in to take the ball off him as Lescott got a toe to it.

Milner looked twice the player for England than he does (played as a shit winger) for City. Admittedly, England have played the last two games with much more freedom & joie de vivre than City do, but you asked any Villa fan, they would say Milner is only a quality player in centre mid & still gets the odd cross in from there anyway. If we're not going to play him there, why did we sign him? Purely to cock up Aston Villa?

You use words carefully I see. "only an idiot would say we never stood a chance of winning it" I notice you didn't say you thought we would win it but that lovely, means nothing sort of statement saying we COULD win it.On paper we had a CHANCE but in reality I am that idiot there is no way we WILL win it.

What does more than a chance of actually mean? Are you putting a large bet on England winning it?

I think there is a chance that your observations are from "someone who know's his football" :)
