Juve want roberto

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Juve want roberto

I would let them have him, I don't believe he is the man to bring premiership titles to city - we should be a comfortable top 4 team by now with the quality we have got and the funds that have been made available and looking at the remaining fixtures compared to tottenham, it looks like we're set to miss out yet again.

Thought it was Roma?

Ah well, tomorrow it will be Lazio and then Napoli by the weekend, with the sundays going with AC Milan.

I, for one, hope he stays. A new manager every 12-18 months does not bring success. You only have to look at... us. And I reckon he's smart enough to adapt next season to a more open form of football. Only time will tell, of course, but I hope he gets another season.

All the people who are blindly going on about continuity have not taken into account the fact that Bob may do one. Not sure Juve will get him but I wouldn't rule it out, & if the national team job comes up?

He's forever going on about missing Italy. If we really are determined to keep him, we should say so imo.

The club should come out now and say there is no way Juve , or anyone else for that matter can have him... that's he's here to stay because continuity is the answer.

And it would also keep the georgian genius happy.

Its a no brainer and you can keep this post, put it in the special storage compartment with all the others and shove it in my face when... the time is right... or something.

Over and out.

Or Barcelona, 6 managers in 10 years.
Or Real Madrid, 11 managers in 10 years.
AC Milan, 6 in 10 years.

In all these cases, they stuck with the right man when they got him, but they were quick to identify and rid themselves of the wrong man just as quick if not(in real's case) quicker than we would.

Your point has been done to death by john68 and shot to pieces by many people with the same things I listed there.

False alarm according to the Italian football correspondant on Talkshite; they don't want him unless they can't get their main targets.

Thought the same thing.

City win FA Cup and finish 4th and Mancini will be hailed as the man who brought a trophy.

Lose in FA Cup and finish 5th and Mancini will be run out of town as an idiot. Anything in-between and who knows what will happen. We have (hopefully) a 10 game season, lets hope we win enough of the games that count (eg FA Cup, all our Prem home games) to reach our goal.

That's a bit harsh...

The guy has done a "job" that is all that's for sure. Is he doing better than you expected? Will he have done better than you expected by the end of the season? Do you enjoy watching us play as much as you used to?
He has done a "job" and he's not only here overnight, he's here almost a year and a half with an amazing amount of money spent to further improve a squad that was on course for at least fifth when he inherited it.

If he gets top four and there are signs that we will start to play better football, then there is no reason to get rid (Jose aside obviously). But remember, that was his MINIMUM target set by the owner. Anything above that warrents lavish praise.

You said it mate. Its a thin line this "success in football" lark...

doesn't look like that to me - and a year and half with a squad that should have been challenging for it anyway is hardly "overnight"
