Boateng sidelined

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I liked Ned at centre half. I can't imagine we can call him back though. That must be a non runner.
And although Boateng looks shite so far we could certainly do with him. Don't think Boyata is the answer. I see him as a centre half rather than a full back. He looks terrified going past the half way line.

I always rated him and he can do a job on either side.

You are joking right?? If you are, I take it all back from the Bellamy thread. You are a funny cunt! :)

I dont think Ned is the perfect answer, but hes competant and he's playing well in the premiership at the moment.

I think that Ned can still be a great player, not world class but I think he's got something?

Absolutely. We know he can do a job for us mate - I was just poking fun about the whole point I was making about Bellamy being better than what we currently have on the left side of attack...

Anyway, this RB position is definitely becoming a bit of an issue. No doubt.

I don't think that's necesserily right. You can't put a recall clause if you ask for a loan fee but other than that there's nothing that prevented us putting loan recall clause there.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Sounds like Wabara is being considered for Sunderland, there's an article on the official site today http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/20 ... s-new-deal which mentions he is expected to be in the squad, and he's quoted as saying he trains as a rightback with the senior squad (Doug mentioned he was training with them today as well)

Could Milner play there in an emergency (which this is looking more and more like)?

A backline of three, Kompany Boyata Lescott, a midfield with Kolarov, Barry, Yaya, Milner, Silva to play slightly further up the pitch and feed Tevez and Dzeko. Problem solved.

You're right; then a midfield of Milner De Jong Barry/Yaya Kolarov should do.

Fact is, who else can play on the left side of midfield, if Milner is on the right? I guess we could go with Milner on the left and SWP on the right flank.

3 at the back: boyata, kompo, lescott

5 in mid: milner (right), de jong/yaya (dm), johnson (left), silva (amc)

2 attack: tevez, dzeko ... with balo to come on at some point.
