There will be no ticket scams yo.

Plastic Paddys OSC.

Joking aside I see no earthly reason why we can't have a MCF.net OSC....we could have a webcast Q&A stream with a player for our OSC nights. We're as much of a "club" as a bunch of blues in a social club IMO

This was tried in the past but it has to be based on somewhere ie there can not be OSC based on a web forum. I agree with you by the way. It's not like people typing here aren't real. Except for me of course. I'm a spam bot.

You and Original Dub, the amount of shit spouted by him can't come from a real person!

City could be a leading light with this! Really embracing the modern age

Look up! More of an OSC than a forum but a cracking idea nonetheless. What's the word when someone comes up with a new scheme that hasn't been done before ........ can't think of it but rou know what I mean.

The idea of having an OSC based on this forum is a great one and one that has been around for a number of years.

I contacted the club about it a few years back and was told that we couldn't have an OSC branch without a geographical base. We got around this by forming the Huddersfield branch. This was set up and run by Arjan but, through no fault of his and because not many people could attend the meetings it was pretty much doomed from the start.

But,from the Townley, you could have a meeting every 2 week. CityFans OSC, the real taste of Manchester.

That scam artist looks like the evil younger sibling of former Lancs CC all rounder Mike Watkinson

Dazby is in. Could the historical society be incorporated as well?

Yeah, but you'd probably want to meet at 7pm or some ungodly hour for us easterners.

I think we should go back to the club and fight our corner on this.
When OSC's were set up, geographical meetings were the only option...even for me, times have changed. We live in a world os eletromanic technology. We don't need to be sat around a room together in person, once a month to discuss and celebrate our cityness. We meet on here 24 hiurs a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a years.
It used to be necessary to slice the clubs into branches and areas for convenience of travel and organisation. We cover the bloody planet.
Players have to travel to meet in the branches. On here a player could Q and A from his bloody bath if he wanted.

Fuck me, does it really need a 61 year old to update the new breed of marketting young wizards that are supposed to be driving this club forward into the new age?
...and just because the club initially said no, do you all wander off, tails between your legs and heads bowed. No wonder you get the governments you get...you don't have bollocks to fight for what you want.

Glad you mentioned that Dazzler. It is still extremely high on my agenda and I have done quite a bit of research on how it might work and what agenda could be set for the 1st meeting. There are still things I want to do before going ahead with it and after that it would just be a matter of the timing.

In the meantime, I have been busy setting up a number of spreadsheets that contain a statistical overview of year of city's hustory.
1)...an OVERVIEW of every season, Club name, ground, Division, position finished, average attendance, FA Cup round reached. League Cup round reached, European comp and round reached, Youth and reserves, Misc trophies and the manager in situ.
2)...THE LEAGUE...A year by year record of our league record, W,D,L,F,A,Pts, positon, promotions and relegations.
3)...FA CUP...A year by year, complete record of every FA Cup game that City have ever played, venues and results.
4)...LEAGUE CUP...As above.
5)...EUROPEAN COMPS...As above.
6)...HALL OF FAME...A record of each player inducted into the City Hall Of Fame.

This info is displayed in an "at a glance" stylee, for easy reference. It is done in a manner that works by itself or also acts as a reference index to the more detailed "Man City Stats" site, which has not been updated since the sad death of the owner of that excellent site.
I would happily upload it on here or set up a temporary website if I knew how. I am still working on it and my next project is to try and find, then list all the City players who have represented their countries....I've had no joy finding that info yet...so if anyone can help, I would be grateful.
Cheers
