What a good day this has turned out to be. We need to capitalise on it tomorrow now.

The spuds cant win north of Birmingham. Except at our place. We'll get fourth despite losing to them.

Incredible effort by Stoke, they deserved to win. How can we get City to play with that much desire

I thought Wolves would beat the barcodes today. I'll have to revise my relegation prediction. Villa, Brum and Blackburn.

Now, once again, we are handed a golden opportunity to put a gap of 6 points between us & Spurs. I said last time that if we beat Fulham & Wigan I thought we'd cruise out to 4th place. We fucked it up. I recon the same applies again tomorrow; beat Sunderland & I recon we've cracked it. Spurs are going to drop more points, as will we; they will cancel each other out. To have a 6 point gap at this stage, even though they have a game in hand, is enormous when you add on the goal difference.

This is as big a game as the cup semi imo. Will we be up for it or collapse like we did v Fulham?

This is our season winning game & Bob's ticket to carry on riding, right here imo.

Could be right Ted. Spurs drawing today was a nice little bonus and incentive for us tomorrow.Beating Sunderland will be nothing special to shout about as it's one of the results we should expect to get.The following week if we lose to LPool and Spurs win we are back where we started.I will need an unexpected win for City to get really excited.

I like Dazby's optimistic line of thought. We lose at home v Spurs but it doesn't matter because we are so far ahead of them:)

It's true we'll drop back if we lose to Liverpool but even if we do we'll still be above Spurs. The week after, or the week after that, they will drop points & give us the Liverpool result back & we'll find ourselves six points clear again. Then they have to win the extra game. Fair chance they'll cock it up.

If we lose or draw tomorrow however we're back in the dogfight. Huge game.

I agree with that. When it's the business end of the season, each game carries more and more weight. Spurs drawing is a really big result, huge in fact. Every point they drop is, in fact, absolutely as good as any point we win, plus the fact that there is 1 game less to play, which is also really good. The same logic applies to Chelsea, who are passable.

The problem is whether City can fire themselves up and find the early season form. Being out of the Europa is probably helpful right now. I'd rather we were still in it, of course, but not exactly throat cutting not to be.

Sorry Ted, as much as tomorrow is a must win opportunity to create a gap between us and Spurs, as well as allowing us to stay in touch with Chelsea, I don't see it as a season defining moment. There are going to be many twists and turns yet and as each week goes by, each next game will become the most important in our history.

Looking at the run in, Spurs don't worry me in the least (yet?). Their run in is horrific compared to ours, they still having to play; Arsenal (H), City (A), Chelsea (A) and Liverpool (A). That's plenty of opportunity to drop points. Add to that the pressure of the CL 2 legs versus Real madrid and that too cranks the pressure on them.
City have only Spurs (H) and Liverpool (A) and even our major semi against the rags is only 1 game. The odds are stacked in our favour. We would have to completely collapse to fuck that up. Our big problem might occur should we make the FA Cup final and that would increase the pressure majorly on us.
I am still looking at Chelsea and what chance we have of overhauling them. Spurs (H) and the rags (A) are their only pressure games, so we will need to remain focussed to catch them.#

It's starting to get interesting

Absolute huge game tomorrow and I think will go a long way to settle 4th place.

Win and we are in the driving seat, we may even nick 3rd.

Draw or loose and it will give the Spuds some hope , they will go out against Real Madrid so will be concentrating on 4th after then.

4th is an absolute minimum considering the money spent, still a fail in my books, winning something is the true measure of success.

Can' only see us winning tomorrow.

Hoilett for Blackburn is having a good game, maybe a cheap buy in the summer for some cover. But what does Santa Cruz actually do? Hes a nice guy, but I honestly think Jo is more useful. At least Jo can do the occasional trick

COME ON Blackburn!

That's what I'm talking about.

It doesn't lose us 4th place if we don't win but imagine Spurs looking at those games from a position of 6 points behind rather than 3? We would have no fucking chance if it was us who were 6 points behind & Spurs will be the same imo. Give them a sniff however & they will beat one or both of Arsenal & Chelsea, you can guarantee it.

On paper Spurs run in looks bad. Then again they had the same last season and beat Arsenal, Chelsea and us in 3 weeks.

Really good game this, Boateng, Robinho and Pato are causing Inter all sorts of problems. Should have had a penalty then as well.
