Win tomorrow and we are 6 points ahead of Spurs with a much better goal difference and just 7 games left.If we then beat WHU and Stoke at home plus say 1 away win and draw v Spurs thats 10 more points and 16 for Spurs to gain in their 7 games or 15 with the point from us.15 points in 6 games is 5 wins out of 6 which they won't get.

Tomorrow is a massive game.

Exactly right Doug. If you look at the table, a total of about 67/68pts will get us Champions Lge qualification. Spurs are on 50pts - they already need 17pts from 8 games, not impossible but factor in that they face us, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool - 3 of them are away from WHL aswell and all of a sudden we will be even closer

Take a look at the next round of games...The rags should beat Fulham (H), If Arsenal are to be taken seriously, they should get the points at Blackpool, Chelsea surely can't fail against Wigan at the Bridge and Spurs against Stoke (H) should be a 3pts banker. We on the other hand are at Anfield which for us could be very hit and miss. If city missfire and our rivals all win (which they should). We will be 1pt worse off than when we started today.
Don't forhet that after we have played Sunderland later, all of our rivals (except the rags) will have a game in hand over us. The league table is slightly distorted in that respect.

I still rekon almost anything could happen yet, ok the rags look set for the title but even that could be closer than expected yet. One reason is that the bottom half of the league is so tight and teams are now fighting for their lives. I would expect some upsets yet and a bit of movement.
As for City i was hoping for us to pick up the performances just as we started to slump a bit.. i'm still looking for some improved performances... er but somehow not expecting it. Kiev showed they can play with commitment and urgency and that is what i want to see for the rest of the games.
Chelsea were fortunate to get away with a draw in the end and Arsenals performance was pretty dire as was Spuds. None of them seem to be able to turn it on at the moment.

You just ahve to admire the way United come back from teh dead to win. That's what makes them champions. If we were 2-0 down in a match could anyone see us coming back to win? It's the attacking mentality they have and to never give in. Hopefully Bob will learn one or two things from that.

Maybe the surgery is news but he was out for a month anyway.Scum for the league by 7 points at least I would say.Us for 4th as Spurs will lose enough points to make it simple.Thats assuming we beat Slumberland today.

When was the last time we were 0-2 down at half-time?

Blackpool will go down I'm afraid. I hope they pull it off and survive for one more year but I reckon they're going down.

Wigan will surely go down though, they are poor side

Well, I for one hope that our Bob has learnt fuck all from that...It sounds a decidedly dodgy strategy to me.

"Righta ladsa...wea letta dem goa twoa golsa inna da fronta...ees normaaal"

How about not learning to go two goals behind in the 1st place...something like today.
I wonder if Tafggart learnt anything from watching us..."What a great idea...don't go 0-2 down and just score 5."

Why? You are basically saying we are incapable of coming back from 2-0 down because we haven't been 2-0 down? If so, that's an amazing bit of "logic".
