pfa player of the year nominations

Postby Green & Blue » Tue Apr 05, 2011 8:15 am

Where is Vincent Kompany? I knew he would not get recognition even though he's been outstanding in pretty much every game this season.

Senior players
Samir Nasri, Charlie Adam, Carlos Tevez, Gareth Bale, Scott Parker and Nemanja Vidic.

young players
Jack Wilshere Joe Hart Seamus Coleman, Gareth Bale again Samir Nasri-again and Thriler.

I think Vincent will get our POTY to be honest. Carlos probably would've before flouncegate but Vincent thoroughly deserves it.

Brilliant to see two City players nominated in any case.

de Jong over Parker this season too. We should have four players listed at least surely.

Scott Parker and Charlie Adams are there ONLY because of their nationality. Adams has been alright in a poor team and Parker is THE most overrated player in the history of English football.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

You know there was a commentator on the weekend in the Fulham-Blackpool match who kept calling him Adams, wondered if he was just slow. He also called the keeper Kingston and said Adam Johnson was coming on as a sub. This on top of talking about Zamora and after the other guy said "his season has been interrupted by the injury he got in September, but there was talk at one stage of him going to South Africa" to which the moron replied "He would have been there had it not been for the injury", yeah mate the one he wasn't going to have for another 3 months.

Anyways I am rambling, ADAM, not ADAMS.

Yeah got to agree with you there, he may not get into many top sides but he's single handedly kept West Ham in with a shout of staying up this season.

I think Parker will win the main prize. Has been very consistent this season whilst playing for a poor team.

It is ridiculous that Bale has been nominated and Luka Modric hasn't. Modric has been Spurs best player this season.

anyone think we could get our hands on Luka next summer?

me thinx he is all we need, beside a winger. and a left back. and a proper right back. and a cover for Joe. and a spirit transplantation.

I don't see Balotelli on either list; surely that can't be right? ;)

Seriously tho, I'm surprised Silva hasn't got a mention in the main award or AJ in the young player one.

Tevez has to win.

Head and shoulders above the others in that list imo.

I knew Tevez would get nominated. Over the course of the whole season he's been our best player without a doubt. I think he's the top striker in the whole league now? Maybe joint top.. anyway, that's two years in a row to be nominated. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride!!

I think he should get it this year, because the only thing holding him back last year was the season Rooney and Drogba just had.

Great to see Joe nominated too. Will either of them win it?
