Our little rollercoaster of a ride

Where are you at at the moment? Has the break and the 5-0 eased your concerns?

I think we are lucky at the moment in that have just played a horribly out of form Sunderland and next up will be the terribly gash Scousepool. That momentum will give us hope for the Semi final. However, from there I'm just not sure of things. So, I'm going to enjoy our mini run while it lasts.

Does 1 win at home against Sunderland, on the back of being knocked out of europe and a defeat against Chelsea count as a mini-run?

Yes. Plus we are going to beat Scousepool. No fear.

Still fully expecting us to fuck it up somewhere. Reading Mancini's comments about how he only didn't play Barry because he needed a rest struck me with total disbelief... it was there for him to see how much better we look if we only play De Jong and Yaya in the center and have Silva and AJ on the wing... we beat Sunderland 5:0 and yet he will most likely go back to the same boring shit formation we were playing the weeks before the Sunderland game against Liverpool.

@ Avoidconfusion,
We stuff Slumberland 5-0 and the team play as you had wanted...Is that enough for you....NO!!!...You have to look into some corner of a cupboard to find a negative bit of spin.
Had any of the rag media done this, you would have been complaining bitterly.

Please read my post again. I LOVED the way we set up and played against Sunderland... if you actually bother to understand what I posted, my concerns lie with Mancini and the fact that he will go back to the same set up and formation and tactics we had previously.

Exactly. Mancini may have just been saying that to make Barry feel better about not starting. It's not only eccentric foreigners that need man management

I was aware of that mate...My point was that instead of celebrating and being happy about what had actually happened, you went looking for a negative scenario. My point stands.

Sorry but the question of the OP was about the Rollercoaster Ride... and that is just how I feel.

Has the break and the 5-0 eased your concerns?

No it hasn't, because Mancini made it sound like the only reason he did not set up as usual is because he wanted to rest Barry and that worries me.

Still feel that Champions League spot is not in our hands (althought mathematically it is), so not content yet. If we keep playing as well as vs Sunderland for a few weeks I'll feel more comfortable.

As of now I still think we'll need Tottenham/Chelsea to loose or draw a few more matches to make it to the promised land.

great performance on sunday, first time under mancini's reign where we've really looked like a 'team' in my opinion. still want him gone and one excellent performance will not get me singing his name.
