Chumps League games

Postby Moonchesteri » Tue Apr 05, 2011 6:47 pm

I just noticed they're playing today! Probably not gonna watch as I don't really care.

But the question is what do you want from the Real vs Spuds pair?
I don't really know. the further spurs go, the more their focus will be on UCL success and it may harm their league form.
but I can't help but think that either spuds or chelsea will go on to win it and screw us over big time that way!

Ever the optimist, eh?

I usually always support the Brit teams but for this one I'm up for Real, just to make sure Spurs don't get through and take the CL place away from us.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

So, who are people cheering for? As I see it there are two choices:

1) Support Tottenham because you want Mourinho to loose his RM job so he can come here and you think Barca will knock out Tottenham from the semi anyways.
2) Support RM because you want Tottenham to crash out and not take our spot if we end 4th or because you don't want Mourinho here.

How very dare you - IF they did win it, they'd be taking the champions league spot from Chelsea :)

Actually, update on the title odds:

Chelsea - 14/1
City - 66/1

We are ahead of them in the league.

Sorry, can't get my head around it at all.

Its because we are not accepted Ronan, was listening to Talk shite yesterday morning whilst driving and our 5-0 win was not once mentioned and yet the scum were mentioned very very often in fact for the whole f----g show.

They have a game in hand mate, which they are most likely to win against Birmingham, so that would technically mean they would be ahead of us by 2 points. Plus they still have to play the rags!

I thought their game in hand was against Spurs? And if that was us and we had to play the rags, then our odds would be lengthened you can bet your arse!

I think if we beat Liverpool convincingly, then we'll finish ahead of Chelsea because it should mean we're gaining momentum at the perfect time and the confidence will be there throughout the team.

Damn I wish that was us that were lining up against Madrid tonight. The stadium, the atmosphere. Wow.

I suppose media coverage can sway how people bet and if that is the case, then your point stands pal!

PS I'm trying to figure out what to sell when we reach the final to make sure I'm sat there when we lift that trophy. You gonna head down mate?

The announcer keeps referring to spurs as 'we' - way to hide your bias. Also, playing 80 mins with 10 men should wear them out for this weekend

The ref is an absolute disaster, Madrid should have had at least 3 penalties already. Crouch was sent off early for being an absolute moron and Ray Wilkins constantly refers to Spurs as "WE" ... Ray Wilkins is an absolute cuntish commentator too, never heard a more biased commentator.

Dawson blatently fouls a Real Madrid player which was worth a yellow, Wilkins calls it "experience" .... Ramos just takes out Bale towards the end, Wilkins says not giving Ramos a yellow card was "the worst decision the ref has made in this game".
so now as every enemy circles our city
sour and sore, we swear war
