Nice result, just pity they can now concentrate on the league

Don't recall anyone being sorry for us when Mario had his moment of madness. I recall calls for Mario to be deported or shot for costing us the tie along with Mancini a) buying him and b) picking him. Now given that Crouch was even more stupid than Mario and in a higher profile match l assume he and 'arry are getting it in the neck and await Crouch's public apology on the Spurs OS.
Personally if that had being City last night I would have been appalled. The Lennon saga had them all over the place which given they had to stretcher him to Madrid its odd they didn't plan for him not making it and what Crouch did was inexplicable. I honestly wondered if he had taken a bung to act the way he did. VD Vaart was moaning and trying to pick a fight and was generally useless which pretty much sums up his performances for the last few months and it was fucking shambles from start to finish. If that had been Mancini and City it would have been carnage in the media and rightly so given the lack of professionalism shown.
Still it gave us a glimpse of England under Redknapp when he mixes it with the big boys...
