2.For the record i'm not accusing you of anything but ignorance if you think there's no racist intent in that chant. I think you're making progress in understanding why monkey chants will be more offensive to a black person than a white person. Shock horror but something that might be offensive to one person might not necessarily (in the same way) be to another person.
3.So you're now saying you abhor racism, but you have an issue with me saying you hate racism because it wasn't in an earlier post? Obviously, being pedantic comes naturally to you.
1. I still don't see how it's racist. Another example, United's song about Park. I don't see the line 'You eat dogs in your home country' as racist, but to refer to South Koreans as 'dog eaters' would be.
2. My point is that these 'monkey chants' are not monkey chants at all, the media just impose British values on another country's culture and customs. Which I find to be more racist than the chanting in the first place, as there is no racist intent to it, but assuming all white Europeans have identical values to British people is massively culturally insensitive.
3. I have a problem with you putting words into my mouth, not saying I don't like racism. If that's pedantry, then so be it.

You're a cunt and lying, attention seeking one for saying that.

What the fuck is your problem you dickwad? I made an observation. I never said I cried over anything that was said to me - in fact its water off a duck's back and I've never responded in the same vein because I'm not a xenophobe, I'm merely pointing out the difference between how xenophobia and racism is taken in all walks of life.
Now I'll send you a PM and try and find out what's eating you because I think you're a decent skin, but don't take your balls out and wave them in front of class trying to be the hard man, when everyone on this board knows your soft as fuck.

I will, I hate the Irish, the Scottish, The Welsh, the asains, the orientals, the blacks, the yanks, the aussies, latino's, europeans, south americans, africans, and mostly the english.
If you fall under one of those catagories, you're a (insert nationality / race) cunt.

There's obviously a very fine line between being racist and taking the piss out of someone by choosing to pick on cultural references. Some are allowed some are not, this is in the grey area.
For my two-penneth, I didn't think of the song as racist when I first heard it, and I've got what I reckon is a pretty high race-ometer. Ad's dad's pretty much nailed on gonna be African, as are elephants (the big eared ones with less frontal lobing and alternative trunk tippage anyroad). Washing them isn't probably gonna be the best job. If I sang a song at a Welshman and cleverly worked a fiendish line saying 'his dad perms sheep so they're easy to grab onto with sweaty hands', or summat, is that racist? I think it's just a pisstake, and part of a really bad song.
But if there's a term 'elephant washer' hung over fmro teh colonial days, then yeah I suppose it does have more insidious derogatory connotations. Whether it was coined for Indians or Africans is by the by and no doubt to irrelevant to 'the racist', as 'dey is jus foreign an funny coloured innit'. Whether the person who thought the song up is privy to this historical reference, or was just trying to find a harshly creative way to indulgle in a bit of ott comedy hate, I dunno. Whether it was or not, it's easier for a racist to sing it than a non-racist. I wouldn't sing it, so that probably confirms the side I waver toward having read this thread!
Oh, and btw, monkey noises aimed at black players are TOTALLY RACIST. It's inferring that black people are closer to monkeys than white people.
Conversely, most monkeys are not, as someone said earlier, 'black'. I'm struggling to think of a black monkey other than the spider monkey. I'm sure there are others, but most monkeys that pop into my head are of another colour, and I've just thought through a hell of a lot of monkeys, one of which made me feel Peter-Reidist. Maybe whoever it was was thinking of the Great Apes. And Orang-utans are ginger! That's a whole nother thread though...

You lied to emphasise your point (as usual) except this time you basically said that you're treated with racism on this site. That is lies, utter nonsense and I think you should be ashamed of making up such potentially damaging shite just to prove your point.
As I said in my PM to you:
I thought what you said was the biggest pile of lies and self pitying shite I've ever read.
You must be pissed. You've basically said that your treated with racism on this site, that is untrue and entirely unacceptable.
You should post on the thread and take back the lies you posted.
As for hard men, that's not a role I ever play, you know that. For the record, you're soft as shite, men don't make up self pitying lies to prove a point on the internet.

Utter, utter bullshit. Can't believe I've read that on this forum. Seriously. They're fucking monkey chants, intended to be offensive, demeaning and deeply racist. Don't even try to defend the scum that take part in such things.

Excellent, put your PMs to the public forum.
I don't know what lies you think I've told, because what I've said is REAL. It doesn't bother me, nor do I think this board has treated me wrongly because I don't care about what someone says about me in cyber space. The point I was making was that an insult, whether xenophobic or rascist is all the same to me WHEN DELIVERED. When received it means fuck all from my point of view...
I love this place. It has been my second home for years and years before you ever knew it existed. I appreciate everything Lee (who I've met personally) and co have done and I never feel like a second class citizen.
I hope to meet you sometime. If we can't sort this out via PM like I already suggested I'm more than happy to tell you well in advance when I'm gonna be over and maybe you'll feel differently after meeting me. One thing is for sure - if you talked to me in real life like you did in this thread, we'll have a relationship to remember.
