Now who's being melodramatic?

I wanted Hughes gone, also want Mancini gone. I think a much more pertinent question right now is who's the replacement? van Gaal was my pick 18 months ago, but you have to wonder if Khaldoon is even considering the question.

I hardly see how I'm being melodramatic. I put the point out and I expect it to be addressed by those who were so passionately behind Mancini's appointment. Their silence is deafening.

I do wonder though what happens if Mancini goes. I do remember reading plenty at the time of Mancini coming on board that this was a decision that squared solely on Khaldoon and Cooke, and if it went tits up, their heads were on the block.

WELL..THE LAST MATCH WE WON 5 NIL AFTER A ROUSING SPEECH FROM OUR CHAIRMAN.......WE DONT NEED MANCINI AT ALL....THAT TEAM CAN VIRTUALLY PICK IT SELF..AND..WITH PLAYERS ACTUALLY PLAYING WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO PLAY WE WOULD PROBABLY WIN MOST IF NOT ALL OF THEM.

I'd take Toure as well. He gets a lot of shit, but personally I think he's very underrated. Tonight alone amongst that sea of turds, he fashioned a couple of efforts that nobody else could (long ranger and a drive to the edge of the box). He's got match winning mentality and potential, and for that I'd absolutely keep him in the team.

But yes, the rest are shit.

The flipside of this is that he was totally anonymous in the first half, when we were overrun. Not that he was alone on this, but I won't be praising him on tonight's showing.

Kinky you really are being a drama Queen

I was seen as a 'Hughes Licker'

In reality I was on the fence

In hindsight Hughes wasn't up for the job..neither I think is Bobby to be honest

Don't know what you're trying to prove?

Mancini just admitted he made a mistake/ mistakes but wouldn't elaborate. Well for me the mistakes were:
1. Starting lineup without NDJ and Silva
2. When Tevez went off he brought in Balo. It should have NDJ as we were being overrun by the scouse and needed to shore up our midfield.
3. AJ all but disappeared in the 2nd half. You would think with a rookie playing at RB for the scouse, the manager would have told AJ to switch to the left !
4. And the cherry on the icing, bringing on NDJ for the last 8 minutes and taking off a striker (even if it was Balo). I would have taken off AJ and brought on Shaunie.
TBF it was brave of him to admit his mistakes. What does it mean ? Is he going ??

I do find it quite strange that they had loads of time back then but can't seem to find a minute now. I seem to remember it being Disco Pants and Socs being the main protagonists.

Do you honestly prefer this? Honestly?

It's not those who wanted Hughes out that I'm particularly annoyed with, but those who took a 'holier-than-thou' attitude about Mancini being the best replacement ever, and anyone saying otherwise knew next-to-nothing about football. I wasn't expecting Hughes to be with us now, as I didn't think he'd be able to challenge for a title. I thought, sorry EXPECTED, he would have been replaced with someone who could, though.

And clearly he hasn't been - I can see that. I never for a minute took a holier than thou attitude to Mancini, I can't speak for the others (NQDP et al) but all I wanted was just a manager OTHER than Hughes. Clearly it's not worked and we're drifting backwards game by game.

I've slagged Toure in the past but last week alongside DJ we saw the player he really is.Mancini's tactics make him look a lesser player.

A baffling team selection tonight.

Yeah I agree with that, and I think that's why the manager is finding friends hard to come by as the season threatens to fizzle out. Too many players unsure of their roles and / or being played out of position.

Look there's no disputing we have fantastic players, but the team line up tonight was absolutely MENTAL and I was fucking incredulous even before Kick off, what could we have expected, WHAT WAS HE THINKING!? Tevez (hamstring? please god no) is just a typical kick in the balls which says 'that's what you get for tkaing the piss out of everyone including yourself'. Gobsmacked by that.

I don't think they are shit. First of all i think there are mentally blocked and i really don't know why. Something happend after that 0-0 in Emirates with Arsenal in january. Since then we are playing more and more awfull and we lost point were we should have won (B''gham for example).
Let's compare our midfielders with scum. Barry, Yaya, Nige, Milner, VIeira vs Gibson, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher or Scholes. Our names are way better, but we managed to win only a point with them. Mourinho won UCL with Derlei and Helder Postiga in front. Who the hell remembers them now?
For me the squad is top 3, but the manager is one for the first 10 places. He can't control the dressing room (all the scandals with Adeba, Tevez or Belles) are examples, and beside that, could anyone recall a team in Premier that had more fights in trainings between players, than us? No, because our atmosphere is beyond low there, and he can't motivate them.
Let's have pacience with the players and understand that with a skillfull manager, they can perform way better ( except Super Mario Stupidelli).

I deleted your first post apart from the melodramatic bit.

Seriously who picked Mancini? JF? Please, that's one person posting on a forum and hardly capable of hounding a manager out of the club. I seem to remember his name being bandied around in a list of available managers but hardly people starting Mancini IN threads.

My first thought is why all the doom and gloom after a bad performance away at Liverpool? Our away form since Christmas has been shocking and when the team selection came through I think we all expected the worst as it was leaving out 2 totally key players and bringing in somebody who has been cast aside for the last month.

After the Sunderland game there was far too much OTT crap about how well we played and how this player and that player looked great.Just ridiculous.Sunderland didn't turn up and we could guarantee Liverpool would. We could actually guarantee Liverpool would come out quickly ,with good organisation and lots of energy. That is exactly what City struggle against most and exactly why the game on Saturday will be extremely difficult.

This is far from the end of the world.Almost every prediction for this game had City losing (a few nutters stayed on their planet and said we would win) and so it proved tonight. An expected loss turned out to be a loss.Yes it was by 3 and we never really looked like gettimng anything which is a disappointment but it's just an expected loss. The key games are the home games. They are the must wins not this one.

Of all the selection things tonight though I want to know why Mario didn't come on.Somebody said he came on for Tevez but he didn't did he? I thought he was embarrassing.

Disagree......."a few nutters stayed on their planet and said we will win" is a shocking comment from you !!.. that's the losers mentality some fans still have and is probably why we will never fucking win anything !!!

The dippers are decimated BY injuries and we should HAVE WON !...Plain and simple....out team is better than their team and if some nutters cant see that then god help them.
