Who Can't Make It To Wembley?

Postby Beefymcfc » Thu Apr 14, 2011 1:28 pm

Just wondering what people were doing for the match on Saturday, considering there are quite a few of you from abroad? And those who can't get tickets, where you watching it and what you got planned instead?

Come on, let's here your sob stories ;-)

Me. Could have got tickets but got a few holidays booked ( including ill fated booking in Dublin) and only get 22 days per year. Have only a couple of days to go , so will save one of them for the final.

I'm not going. In the grand scheme of things however it is not that big a deal. You all know what's been going on over here and frankly I am happy to be alive and unharmed.

I have seen my share of big games over the decades. A new generation of Blues can have a go.

I'll watch it on the telly, 1.15 a.m. kick off, with perhaps a small snifter of something to keep me warm.

Note to self: must warn the neighbours.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

I'm in New York. Was offered a ticket but can't do two flying visits for a weekend so am coming over for the final. Won't even go to a pub to see the game on Saturday, can't abide being among rags, plastic ones at that. The TV's not working so unless it's streamed I will have to follow it via the mcfc minute by minute updates, horrible way to "watch." Or maybe I'll do what I used to do in the old days, call home and ask them to put the radio next to the phone and listen to Ian Cheeseman on GMR.

So, you're going to watch the game with 6 of your mates in a car that you've hired at £35 notes each. I hope it's got some serious ICE in there, and an arial to receive ITV.

Our Gauteng branch of the South Africa supporters club are going to the Keg and Beagle where we watch all City games. There will be about 20 of us there with a few non blues who just hate rags. Last derby game i almost battered a rag so hopefully none of that Saturday.

I shall be watching the game at Chateau Citger on my lonesome. My usual match viewing partners, old man and brother, are away in France and there's no way I could watch this game in public with the lads. I have already purchased 4 Cobra, 4 Bitburger, 4 Asahi and 4 Budvar which are chilling as I type. I'll sit and watch the racing in the afternoon whilst drinking myself in to a pre match stuper - the neighbours have been warned, the sky blue scarves hanging out the windows from first thing Saturday will act as a reminder.
