It's hard to see us winning this as we have no strikers. Mario is a red card waiting to happen and shoudl not be risked. Dzeko is just shite and Vidic and Smalling will erase him from the game.

Kolaorv being dropped for Zabs is a total no-brainer, but Mancini won't see it, I believe. He'll set us up to hold and defend and this is a totally stupid approach against the scum, who will win 2-0.

I just don't know what options gets us across the line, I have no idea. I guess something flukey has got to happen and this is something that generally tends to roll their way. Perhaps a set piece, a penalty or something off-the-cuff and random from Micah or Yaya, a crazy run and goal sort of thing. I don't know.

I can understand all of your points, but we have beaten United many times in recent years with teams that look abysmal on paper. We won at Old Trafford with Benjani, Vassell and Gelson Fernandes in the team! It's time for whoever starts today to step up and put in an immense performance to get us to the final!

You're right, absolutely. The 5-1 is an even better example. We turned up expecting a tonking and they pulled us to bits for 15 minutes. They went off because of crowd trouble and then we handed them their arses in a high hat. It can happen, absolutely. I think the last MR derby was similar, Distin and Dunne both out, Wiekens and Mettomo fill in, boom, 3-1. The 1st COMS derby, 4-1 was totally out of the blue, pardon the pun. I think Sven's 1-0 was unexpected too. So yeah, it can happen. We are going to need something unusual I reckon. We have some really good players and if they shine, who knows. I am a bag of nerves. I'm opening the wine in a bit, I need it.

Today's team though, may it be overpriced & may it have the odd turd or two, is not abysmal on paper. Far from it. It's a team sitting 4th in the table & still getting people moaning week in week out.
Not because it's abysmal on paper. Rather because it looks great on paper, but tends to look abysmal on the pitch.

aaron, the problem though is that the players in those wins put more shift in and tried harder imho.
so now as every enemy circles our city
sour and sore, we swear war
