All great teams are capable of it, from what I saw tonight, so are we!

Well done lads for digging in and not giving up.

it was very ugly after the first 15 minutes, but we got her in the taxi and that's all that matters

It's a quality that is vital to a Top 4 team, and we're nearly there

Yeah got to agree, we started brightly but faded. However the record books will show 3 points and that's all that matters at this stage of the season.

Finally, not bullied out of the game. After the first 30 min I would pretty much have put money on Samba scoring a header. Fantastic to see we have toughened up a bit. Is third on the cards?

Tremendous win tonight and the kind of win we should have had more of.What's the point of having a good defence if you can't win games 1 nil:)

True & tbf we didn't concede many chances.

If we can't pass wind, at least keep a clean sheet & sneak the points.

Great win, frustrating they didn't make it easier for themselves by netting goals while all over BB. But agree with all on here, despite going into our shell we never looked too vunerable and the longer it went on the more confident i was looking at them that they would cope with whatever BB had to throw at them, including the headers and free kicks. Haven't felt that way for some time about the defence... they are getting there.

Winning ugly separates the champions from the runners up. If we can add this string to our bow It'll stand us in good stead for the future.

We have played many a crap game this season, this was not one of them. This was a tough win away and a great performance as it turned out. Good on the team and keep it up!

It's weird - normally I would have been completely certain that we would have thrown that away, but for some reason, post FA Cup semi-final, i felt completely confident throughout that that we would win. Dunno why. Maybe something's clicked inside my head - and it probably has for the players too.

United have spent all season scratching out naff victories when it matters, and that's why they're top of the league. It would have been absolutely typical City to have lost this tonight following last Saturday, and the fact that we didn't is really quite something else. It was a perfect 'City crash back down to earth' stage. Everything was set up.

But we didn't......

It's confusing. Quite like it though.

Hugely significant win for us this.

We were excellent for the first 20-25 mins and after that didn't play anywhere near as well as we can but we dug deep, kept going and got the vital winner whilst keeping the bad door shut.

One thing I would say is that we have to stop giving away daft free kicks in our final third of the pitch and putting ourselves under unnecessary pressure against a physical side like Blackburn - this is an even more important lesson to learn given we have Stoke and their team of giants in the FA Cup Final.

I recorded the game and watched it after learning the final score. Having seen it without all the usual anxiety, I can honestly say that we played pretty well, even after that (immense) opening 20 minutes. We've played FAR worse in other games, including other games we've won.

Anyway, it's great to see Dzecko break his duck in the PL. 3 points in the bag. Next week the same, please.

Agree that it was a great win....and the kind that we seem to never usually be capable of grabbing.

Honestly I think the biggest change regarding situations/games/wins like tonight needs to come with us, the fans.

We are just not used to appreciating the quality we have on the field and the fact that even when things don't run for us or when we are playing in a pretty ordinary..or actually shitty manner....we have the ability to grab a goal and cling on.

It's what United (...and lately Chelsea) have done for years. We are so used to getting mugged that we, as a crowd, get the real jitters and it palpably tranmits to the team. We need to have faith and belief and I think we could go on to nick more games like today

Agree in the main - all winning teams have to grind out results like this but it was infuriating 2nd half the way we were giving the ball away and losing 50/50s. It all helps to build that sense of invincibility if you can keep clean sheets and nick the points.
Need to improve on that against the Stokies though

after about an hour, the missus asked if I was getting nervous and, for once, I wasn't. Blackburn had all the play, but I didn't feel they were good enough to create a real chance. We, on the other hand, would just need one chance to prove our quality, which is exactly what happened.
If chelsea can win at the weekend, we MUST beat WHU, putting us 7 points clear with 4 games left. We can afford to lose to everton and spurs and it still be in our own hands. However, I fancy a boring 0-0 Mancini special at everton and at least the same v spurs. We could have a double celebration on cup final weekend
