As long as all 19 games are FA Cup finals and played at Wembley. You know as well as I do that glory hunters are only interested while the glory is on offer. They won't be buying ST next season and slogging it to a cold Monday night game.

Still fucking pissed off that the ticket amount isn't half the stadium.

As mentioned, these tickets would never end up in true fans' hands anyways so not to worry. Let us just hope they buy us a few new hardcore fans atleast:-)

A lot of the 'real' fans can't be arsed going to early rounds of cup games so if we're to truly expand as a club & become one of the 'elite', we need these people, as they're the ones who will take that opportunity in the future.

The more the merrier I say.

Ultimately, that's the way it will go. The rags have 60k+ season ticket holders. They all have to join the FA cup scheme and I think the European scheme. They are now allowed to opt out of the carling cup scheme, but as more than 25k opted in, if you opted out you can forget a final ticket (not that they need one this season anyway). If you're a successful club, you attract new fans. Hopefully, a proportion of them stay with you through the thin times and you don't completely alienate what we might call the true fans whilst bringing in the new ones.

My rag friend's season ticket is over £900 which is ridiculous. However, he was speaking to an Arsenal fan in a similar seat - best available before going into the corporates and their renewal price is about £2,500. Even with all the cup games thrown in for free, that's a stupid price, but one they obviously feel they can charge, even with their limited recent success. Thanks to the FFP rules, that's the way we will ultimately go, so enjoy it now whilst you still can.

Spot on!
Followed City since 1970 cause they played in my favourite colour, no one else in my class supported them and my dad told me Alan Oakes is a cousin of my late grandfather. Try to get to 5 or 6 games a season, yet because I don't live in Manchester I have found myself, for the first time this season, having to justify my City pedigree to fellow City fans and non-City fans alike. Really beginning to piss me off. Why are we stooping to this "I'm better than you" bickering.
If anyone thought "The Revolution" and the success it is bringing, wasn't going to add to our fan base and bring with it the challenges for tickets it has, then they need to pull their head out of their arse.
It goes with the territory guys! Suck it up, it will get worse, enjoy the success. No point complaining about the allocation of tickets that has been the same for years, we are not going to change the world to suit us. That smacks of the arrogance we have despised for so long, from the scum.
As for the final, I've booked my flights for Manchester to watch the game at City Square. If you "know" you can't get tickets, don't torture yourself, make alternative plans and enjoy the moment.
City are coming to get you!

What pisses me off is the £60 ticket i had for the semi is now £115. Thats because the fucking dick`eds at the fa double the price of the tickets cos they give half away free for "their" event, so fucking over the real fan. If "their" event is that good why don`t they give them ALL away. The`re making sure they don`t lose out on "their" catastrophic mistake which cost £795 million.

I think that to be a real fan you need to be a bit ruthless and selfish.
I think the real fans who go to the matches are not really doing anything that is torture to them.I don't think many of them have to walk over hot coals, broken glass swim oceans etc...It strikes me they are doing something they enjoy.I should think quite a few of them have a drink meet their mates have a laugh and a joke and spend money on themselves.
I suppose it is no suprise that the real fans are upset that they might not be able to carry out this behaviour because some gloryhunters.
Good luck to them is my opinion but I suppose that kind of attitude is par for the course from a gloryhunter like me.
Must try and be a bit more ruthless:)

I think there are several issues here, firstly the girl that KK is ranting about didn't/won't take any of the 25k allocation that has gone to City.

Sure she could be taking the corporate ticket that another "proper blue" could have but if they were really entitled to that status would they not have been on the old cup direct scheme or at least a season ticket holder?

I could actually get a ticket for the final via work, I've been offered it but I can't come due to work commitments. If I was to come over I equally wouldn't be a glory hunter, nor would I be taking the ticket of another blue who's been to all the previous rounds and all home games.

I'd have a lot more sympathy for those who may miss out if we'd seen full houses for all the cup games this season. Times are hard but the effort to get to games has been pretty poor at lots of points and to my mind, as a consequence, we can accommodate quite a lot of new fans/bandwaggon jumpers/glory hunters as many of our die hards can't be arsed til the glory stages come around.

I know of 4 absolute "CTID" fans coming from South Africa that will be taking tickets that would normally go to a "suit". I have supported City since birth as my old man is a blue through and through. The only two full seasons I was able to go to every home game was div 2 and div 1. If I still lived in the UK I would be there come rain or shine.

I am fortunate enough that I will be at the final this year and it will cost me more than a months salary to get to experience my proudest moment as a City fan in 38 years. I cried in 99 at my only City game at Wembley and I hope to be crying tears of joy on May 14th.

I hope a lot of the lads on here that won't have enough points will manage to get tickets and I will certainly let any of you know if I hear of any spares.

Send it to me mate! I can put on a suit and a smart jacket and talk a bit about evading taxes- no one will notice the difference.
I've booked my flight to London, but can't really afford the 350-400 quids the tout websites are asking with my wedding coming up a few weeks later.

Actually thinking about this, and I really don't mean just this match. I am not sure I care. If they are willing to cheer our boys on and be loud, it only helps.

I think my original point is in danger of becoming lost.

Just to reiterate, I am not against the idea of our club gaining more fans, it just worries me that existing fans may miss out on tickets because of them.

I agree, but I'd rather have more fans who want to go to an FA Cup final than can get tickets. Imagine if our support was so rubbish that we couldn't even sell out our allocation and ended up with part-timers making up the numbers.

Stoke have good support but they don't have our problem, they have 21k season ticket holders so they're all guaranteed a ticket. If our stadium were 20k seats smaller we wouldn't have empty seats.

@ KK,
The point isn't lost Lee, and sadly for the longer serving fans, the newbies will be sitting in our seats, occupying the spaces at the bar, causing queues at the turnstiles, drinking our beer, singing our songs and buying the tickets that previously nobody else wanted to buy.
The moment our esteemed Sheik bought the place and started buying the players we so desperately craved to win us the pots we were even more desperate to win, it was bound to happen Mate.
