Not sure mate, but I'd absolutely agree with you - he'd be a huge loss to Stoke at the min! fingers crossed.

yahoo matchcast is saying it's a torn hamstring, and etherington was in tears as he was taken off.

feel sorry for the lad but it's a massive boost for us having to play them twice in the coming weeks.

to be fair they're still battering wolves 3-0.

you have to admit that as much of a cunthole as he is Pulis has Stoke playing well and winning. They actually have seemed like a versatile footballing side over the last month, and i really am shitting it about the final. i'd rather be playing one of the Big 4 to be honest...oh wait, we're one of them, Big 3 then. My bad.

cheers

3-0 up, 42 points after tonight. Almost guaranteed safety now (in fact, probably are if someone can work out the permutations).

That's gonna be 3 points for us vs them, then.

terrible we're crossing fingers for a decent english player to miss out on an fa cup final. i feel sorry for the lad as he's not the kind of player who will be getting there every other year, but is certainly a hard working player that deserves to be.

WHAT? Nothing terrible about it whatsoever, he is in a rich vein of form and can be a very decent player on his day, any City fan worth their salt would want the opposition weakened.

i've no problem with the opposition being weakened. i just don't think it's right to have our 'fingers crossed' for someone to be injured.

I think judging by the threads on here recently, there's just no decent people left.

Fuck etherington, he gives them more of a chance of beating us and I want us to win that fucking cup and tear that poxy banner down... anything that aids us in that respect is fucking groovy IMO.

Break a leg Matty.

Suppose so. The downside is that the more points they get now, the greater the chance they can afford to field a weakened team against Arsenal the game before the final.

not going to cheer that another player is injured, but it happens in this game and it certainly does not hurt our chances.

Sorry for etherington, he was having a good season, but our matchup with stoke is much better now and I will be over the fucking moon if we win the FA cup ... I won't think about etherington twice. We won a semi-final with tevez injured, just move on.

From the BBC

Stoke winger Matthew Etherington faces a race against time to be fit for the FA Cup final on 14 May after a scan revealed he had torn his hamstring.

It's sad but it happens. The bloke who plays instead will still be a professional footballer and will be capable of having a stormer. We still need total concentration and commitment from our team. He is a good player but it changes very little from our side.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.
