That's what I'm hoping for. I move back to Bosnia the weekend of the CS game, and am trying to coax my (unaware) girlfriend into flying from London instead of Cologne.

What no one has mentioned yet is that this year, the FA Cup Final clashes with the Eurovision Song Contest, so that will free up extra tickets.

Mr.A Bond.
You say you are going over to UK but are unsure as to whether you will be able to get tickets.
Why is it your going then?
From your reply it gives no clues and leaves me to assume.
I assume this.
I think you are going back to the UK because I think you will find somewhere to watch the match(if you don't get tickets)that will have plenty of blues and a good atmosphere.I think you will be going to UK so you ca meet some friends and family.I think you will be going to UK because you might have more chance of getting a ticket.
I don't think you are going because you think it is your duty or it is the law.
Cos if you do think it is your duty or the law you are mistaken.
You may feel going and showing your support is the right thing to do and for you that might be the case.
For me showing that I am a fan is done by other means. For me just because somebody goes and does something they enjoy doing that is no hardship for them and they pay to enjoy,I do not think it shows their dedication more than people who have different options available to them.

And Mr.KK.
Did you not get what I said .
I am sorry, will try and make it clearer.
I think you have 6000 pts through your selfish actions.
Is that any better?

That is a strange question too.
I go to the game because it is City.
However I joined the cup direct scheme because of the loyalty points and the fact I'd be going anyway.
I have just shy of 6,000 points and don't consider I've been selfish.
I will get a ticket for the final because I have the points.
And that seems perfectly reasonable to me.
And not selfish.

You go to the games because its City.Is that an answer?
If it is it is a strange one.I would have understood better if you had said yes I do like going to COMs or no.
Joining the cup direct scheme says nothing,it just says you know how to maximise any money you are going to spend to enjoy yourself.
My opinion is different to yours. What I see as selfish, you do not.

I'm still not sure how having a raft of loyalty points is selfish.
I go to the game because it's what I do.

You're not doing very well at articulating why someone who has a different opinion from you is selfish. If you reduce everything down you could call anyone selfish for paying into a match because that's money they spent on themselves that could have been given to charity. If this sums up your point then it's probably best kept to yourself for two reasons: you'd be a hypocrite unless you lived an extraordinarily ascetic life (in which case why are you posting here); also, selfishness is a pejorative term and if you mean to insult someone you should do it properly, if not, then don't make the insult, even if you mean something else but can't explain.

You still seem to be avoiding the question.
A simple yes or no will do.
You seem to be skirting around the issue by adding stuff that has little bearing on the debate.
Seems to me if your saying that you started going with your father your behaviour has been programed into you and you are imposing your values on your son.
I think if you ask someone who doesn't share the same loyalty values as yourself your actions can be interpretted as selfish

This is one of the most bizarre threads I have ever seen on here.

Rag Hater, I cannot follow your argument at all. Some of your posts are perceptive, informative and analytical but others are just weird. Do you live with City Hater who gets on your PC when you are out?

What exactly is wrong with rewarding loyalty? What you would do instead that would be fairer?

Of all the things wrong with ticket allocation for the Cup Final the club's loyalty scheme is so far down the list that it doesn't deserve this sort of attention. Rail against the FA, protest about club Wembley, argue the case that City get more supporters week in week out than Stoke so should get a bigger allocation, discuss the fact that Wembley was built where it was and is the focus of a corrupt and desperately ineffective organisation not worthy of the prestige associated with the FA Cup, you can even have a go at the club itself for the number of tickets it distributes internally. To have a go at the fans who support the club week in week out and have that loyalty rewarded by preferential treatment in the allocation of a limited resource.....it's just wrong!

It is you who is skirting issues.
You still haven't explained why going to the football often enough to gain loyalty points, is selfish. It was a very strange thing to say. It is a limp assertion that you appear incapable of backing up fully.
I enjoyed going to the football with my father. I enjoy going with my son. He enjoys the football too. He will be with me at Wembley along with a large group of friends we have come to know largely from going to the match. he also has enough loyalty points to be eligible for a ticket.
What's selfish about that?

For me if you choose a football team to support being loyal is something that is a part of it.
One has to have a certain amount of loyalty to be a fan.
To be rewarded for what is a part of the deal to me unnecessary.
From what I have heard the way they are allocating tickets for the Olypics seems fairer.
And there are people like me (I could maybe arrange a ticket,if pushed, but don't want one)who have not got many loyalty points because of issues that have no place in this thread, who I think are beening discriminated to by the club for inadequcies in their system.
