The bit where you spend time and money on doing what pleases you.
Maybe this does't apply to you but I suspect there are some people who have either missed or not gone to some event because they have decided to go to the football instead.
I wonder if there has been times when Mrs.Piccs has wanted you to use the money that you spend at the matches on other things or spend the day with your family.

Aaahh yes the wonderful system where people who don't even want to go to events but do want to make money, randomly get allocated up to 20 tickets for each member of their household that they can then sell on at a profit using a secondary market system that has not yet been developed.

You sir are madder than a mad march hare, madder than a box of frogs and madder than Mad Jack McMad, winner of last year's Mr Madman competition.

When I met Mrs Piccs, she already knew I was a City fan who went to the matches, and always have done. She loves going to the gym, and that's fine by me, I wouldn't want to prevent her doing part of what makes her what she is. Quite correctly she doesn't try and prevent me going to the match. As it happens, she enjoys the football too, has a seasoncard and will no doubt be with us at Wembley again.

I wasn't aware of any of that.I had heard tickets were allocated by drawing lots.
Also I thought if you apply for lots of tickets and are 'lucky' enough to get more than you need, then you won't be able to sell them until next year when the official ticket re-selling website will launch. However from my experiences most things can be got round and abused and what you say highlights some problems but in general I think the system they are using is a bit fairer

Maybe I wasn't very clear in what I meant.I did try and say that your relationship with Mrs.P is understanding of each others enjoyments but I suspect that there are a few people who do not understand each other so well.

How is it wrong to impose your values on your children? Whose values should they have?

Do your children share your religion? I'll bet they do, you selfish git.

I have no religon and have tried to let my children make their own minds up about what they believe.Unfortuanately they seem to have the same attitude as me and I don't know if it's because of my influence. You right they have to grow up with someone values but I don't think that I am doing that bad a job.

You say you are going over to UK but are unsure as to whether you will be able to get tickets.
Why is it your going then?
From your reply it gives no clues and leaves me to assume.
I assume this.
I think you are going back to the UK because I think you will find somewhere to watch the match(if you don't get tickets)that will have plenty of blues and a good atmosphere.I think you will be going to UK so you ca meet some friends and family.I think you will be going to UK because you might have more chance of getting a ticket.
I don't think you are going because you think it is your duty or it is the law.
Cos if you do think it is your duty or the law you are mistaken.
You may feel going and showing your support is the right thing to do and for you that might be the case.
For me showing that I am a fan is done by other means. For me just because somebody goes and does something they enjoy doing that is no hardship for them and they pay to enjoy,I do not think it shows their dedication more than people who have different options available to them.

I'm not coming over to just watch the match in a 'good atmosphere'. I'm coming back for the game - looks like my ticket is sorted now, but to be honest I'd pay anything to go to this game.

I'm not going because of any duty or the law - who on earth thinks like that? You really are strange. I'm going because I've spent 20 years travelling around the country watching us play (losing more often than not) and because I love watching City. I've dreamed of watching us play at Wembley at a Cup Final and there's no way I can miss this game.

I can't work out whether you are on a wind-up or not. You are coming out with some extremely weird arguments on this thread.

Survival of the genes that promote characteristics that are benefical to an organism.
That was not really how I meant it to come across.I was trying to be sarcastic.

All I am trying to say Mr.Bond is by going to the match you are doing something you enjoy. For me that doesn't show loyalty.

Sweet suffering JESUS!!!! How did I miss this gem?!!

Loyalty is rewarded in many walks of life. People who shop at the same supermarket get loyalty points on "clubcards". Even though they want to shop there and will go there regardless. People who block book most things get discounts. It is a reward for their continued loyalty irrespective of whether it is their one true love or a casual fling on the weekends.

If a pub/club is filling up or near full and there is a queue outside, the regulars will get in first and if you argue with that logic then you're mad as a bag of frogs.

The more money you give towards any business, then the more you should be rewarded.

Its very fucking simple.

I've had a season ticket since 96, went to all sorts of shit places in div 2, but you're right, it's selfish of me to turn up on Saturday wanting a ticket. My ticket should have gone to someone just passing the stadium today. To equal things up, I'll go down on Saturday, buy a ticket and then give it to the first person to post a picture of themselves naked on this thread.

PS to ensure the picture is really you, it has to be you standing near the queue at the City box office, holding a green and gold scarf with the words 'All City fans are selfish pricks' tattooed on your todger in a font clearly visible in the widescreen picture.
