Sources claimed Blanc cited current world champions Spain, saying: "The Spanish, they say: 'We don't have a problem. We have no blacks.'"

OK let's just pretend he didn't say anything at all, denounce the topic, and get back to abusing whichever posters take our fancy this week.

From what I have seen here in Spain they are racist towards blacks from Africa and Moroccans.I think they think their country is being flooded by people from over there.Like the Brits have a paranoia about the channel tunnel the Spanish patrol the Med in an effort to stop people swimming over or coming in boats.I think all of mainland Europe has a problem thinking they are being swamped with illegals from Africa.Countries like Spain and France seem to be particularly paranoid.
The attack on the character of France's North and sub-Saharan African athletes has been a favorite theme of the French extreme right for years. Jean-Marie Le Pen, the anti-immigrant and anti-Semitic founder of the racist Front National, declared in 1996 that the French national soccer team was unacceptable on patriotic grounds because of the number of "foreigners" -- i.e., nonwhite citizens -- who had been selected to represent France. Some players' refusal to sing the national anthem became a sore point that persists to this day.Anelka comes to mind.
This latest go by the French seems to me something that has been there for ages

Ah, sources claim.

Yeah, I can just imagine Blanc saying that.

In the 90's I spent some time in one of the two Spanish enclaves in North Africa - Moroccans didn't even need a passport at the border to enter, and were on Spanish soil. Things might have changed in twenty years though, but a Moroccan I spoke to while there told me if they wanted to get to Spain they could do it by stowing away in a lorry as it crossed by ferry to Malaga. What you see as paranoia others might see as legitimate concerns.
