After that I genuinely think he's been absolutely fantastic. The club's worldwide presence has rocketed, and our income has actually doubled - we've had one of the greatest leaps up the world's rich lists as a club ever. He is very much involved in this. I do believe to he gives a fuck about the fans. He's changed so many things and brought in some brilliant initiatives (City square for example).

Pretty much agree
But I think our Chairman complements him perfectly, because he's helped to smooth Gaz' rough edges so there are far less 'foot in mouth' clangers than there were in the first 12 months.

He was right to get rid of Hughes. He was embarrassing over the remarks in the US and the dreadful handling of the Kaka fiasco. He saw off Joorabchian well though. Tevez is off I'm sure but it can be said it's sort of on our terms.

If he goes I wouldn't shed huge numbers of tears but I'm not arguing for his sacking either. Marwood and Mancini matter more to me. I think we'll collapse over the finishing line in the League and I hope we're too good to lose to Stoke in the Final but we need to improve massively if we're to challenge for the title and make a success of our Champions League debut ( including getting through a potentially tricky qualifying round).

There are a lot of things to ponder about the squad after the end of the season. I'm sure there'll be quite a few changes again.

One step at a time, eh? I don't think winning the league was nay sort of minimum target this season and I'm not entirely sure it should be next year either. Serious title CHALLENGE maybe.

But if we end up winning FA Cup, that'll do for me for a long time.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

He is business not football, just what we need.

He made a few gaffs in his press time but I trust him to deliver the bigger picture

Never had a problem with him. Does his job brilliantly it seems and all the shit that the press bang on about seems way off the mark. All the stories I've heard about him mingling with blues before and after games, home and in europe, endears him to me. Seems like a genuine bloke who just so happens to be working in an industry of bullshit and bluster. Or maybe he's that good that I've been fooled.

Either way, do I have a lot of time for Gary? Yes. Is he good to play golf with? Absolutely.
