Can't help but think that Vinny, if pressed on the issue, would tell you that Balo is a clown who needs outing from the club.

haha that's fucking brilliant.....absent any idea whatsoever as to what Vincent thinks re Balo, and flying in the face of evidence to the contrary, just project your views and say that you're sure that Vincent shares them.

Utter nonsense mate

Not at all. My view is that Vinny, a top pro who clearly wants the best for the club, would prefer it if Balo wasn't around. It's an assumption, yes, but a fair one I'd say, given what I have seen of both individuals.

You honestly think the other squad members are happy having Balo around the place, constantly causing controversy, sulking and walking a tight rope in every game? You're naive if you do.

Honestly, and this is just as much guesswork as yours, but I think players actually like having someone like Balotelli around.

Guy is absolute nutter, wind up merchant and obviously loves to make people laugh considering all his pranks and making himself look silly time and time again. People like him are refreshing in training ground and will lift the spirits. Kompany is all businesslike person who I'm sure takes football and life in general very seriously. Aki Riihilahti, former Crystal Palace player, said that Kompany is the most intelligent footballer he ever met and Riihilahti is someone who did university degree while playing professional football. Balotelli on the other hand probably never finished any sort of school or anything but the guy is good for a laugh. And both those characteristics are desperately needed in training ground.

Now I'm not huge Balotelli fan at all. I'm still seriously pissed off about THAT red card. And I think he will need to sort his head eventually. However I'm simply not having it that Kompany would hate Balotelli. If for no other reason than that Kompany doesn't come through as someone who would hate anyone.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

His "constant controversy" if he were a colleague of mine I would find quite entertaining (parking tickets, throwing darts blah blah). I actually can't see that it would bother the vast majority of them in the least. The only thing that would have pissed me off was the sending off against Kiev. But if we extend that logic then the players a few seasons ago must've wanted shut of Dunne post Hamburg then.

Quite honestly I think that the players would prefer to have someone like Balo around who is entertaining than some sulky cunt who was not justifying his fee (think Berbatov in his first season at United) and I'd even go as far as to say that I would like having him around more than someone who I resented (Tevez) because of his unwillingness to fully commit to the cause and be (likely) wanting to abandon ship just as things were going well.

I fully respect your opinion mate but you cannot extend your own thinking and values and assume that, because you (like me) like Kompany and the way he goes about his business, he shares your views

Well we may we'll find out fairly shortly as I don't see Balo being here next season.

Also, what's a forum for if not for conjecture and speculation? You don't agree, fair do's, but I'll stick with my initial view and that is that I'd wager Vinny and a fair few others are tired of having this lad around the place.

I should also add that wouldn't mind being wrong one bit. Despite being critical of him, I would like him to make a go of it and become a major contributor for us but I just can't see it. There's an element of the nutter to him which can be quite endearing at times but there's also a volatility and a selfishness that I don't see him shaking off.
we've got love bites and everything
