Felipe Caicedo and Samuel Eto'o for the next year or two.
For me 30 isn't to old which I think he is.

Good, cause I don't believe there is one.

There is, one.

I believe we will do well in spreading some of the goalscoring burden around. Yes we will loose a ton of goals from one person, but I believe the others will step up. We all know it takes 6 to 12 months to settle in the prem (Kompany was not all that his first season and look at him now).

For me these are the dream signings for next season:

Sneijder
Aguero
Falcao
Sanchez (simply because our italian City fans say he is da bomb)
Cavani (If we cannot get Aguero/Falcao)

We got prescence up top with Dzeko and don't need another targetman type IMO. We's do much better with someone like Aguero that can also play wide and Falcao that is a pure poacher to play off Dzeko when needed.

Sneijder, well he is a perfect player for our system. Can play backup to Silva, can play winger (believe he has a decent cross) and can play central midfield next to De Jong.

Would have loved Luiz aswell but Lescott is doing well, maybe bring in someone like Sakho as a talent to groom?

daft as it might sound to some - he'd have been option number one for me. said at the time and i stand by it. with 2 sexy AMs playing alongside him - i think he'd be shithot in our system, and he'll only get better.

Wonder if Suarez could be tempted to jump ship if Liverpool don't make Thursday night on Channel 5? Know it is a ridiculous long shot (probably non starter), but I've been impressed with him and think he would be a good partner for Edin.

Like for like or new system - regardless we will need WORLD CLASS replacement. And no, having another winger crossing the ball and hoping centerforward to head them in will not A) give us 25-30 goals a year B) impress anyone in Champion's League.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

who though? That we can realistically get that can really fill tevez's shoes? ?

Easy to say, less so to answer - there just aren't the players out there, makes far more sense to bring in players that will play to our current sets strength (looks like me well be having ade back as well)
wingers and creative mids are in far more better supply right now

Drogba and Lukaku to replace Tevez with hopefully Sneijder coming in as part of the Tevez deal, Sanchez and a central defender and I think that would pretty much do us.

Eto'o or Drogba please. Immediate goals. We will then have more time to find a long term replacement.

Rooney for me I'm afraid.

Agree with earlier comments about Carroll, I think we really missed out there.

I was told Carroll was a shit overrated piss head.

I would have signed him over Dzeko all day long.

Sorry mate, but thats bollocks....we already have the players who can put the ball in the net, we just need the delivery. At the moment we have a team who dont have a fucking clue how to get the ball in the right positions, we seem to score by accident

If we have a player (x2) who can cross the ball in and score the odd goal (10), we have 3 forwards who can score maybe 15-17 each. Add in a good haul from the midfield, and that is looking like 60/70 goals a season, which would put us where we need to be.

Well I'd say 'score by accident' is a tad harsh, because there looked nothing wrong with Zabaleta's goal at the weekend for example!

I do agree though we need a better delivery though. Look at United, they have someone who can cut in AJ style - Nani - but Nani can also cross a ball too...whereas AJ can't really, can he? And Valencia - a proper old fashioned winger. Just think how many Dzeko would have scored if he'd been in the United team? It's why Hernandez has so many...proper service.

Pains me to compare us to them, but it's a logical comparison.

At the moment it seems its either through the centre or no other way, and that's not encouraging.

Whoever the odd man out at Chelsea is

Drogba
Anelka
Kalou
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

What's this crap about Carroll? He has scored TWO goals in SEVEN games for Liverpool. Oh we missed there, we missed there bad.

People were saying that Carroll's not worth that sort of money at this stage because he is unproven this level and is no guarantee for goals. Which is still true.

Some people here are moaning for moaning's sake.
