If Tevez Plays in the F.A. Cup

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Sorry to the O/P but this sounds like tripe.

There is no way Inter would enter talks with such a high profile player without a deal being struck, I can't have that one bit. This sort of stuff happens with emerging players and players nearing the end of their contracts but not with high profile, world stars on long term contracts and definitely not with the player present. The risks are far too high

Whilst there is a high possibility of him leaving and a possibility that it may be to Inter, there is no way I can believe that he was over there negotiating a deal with Inter.

me either...it's just unbelievable. If yr Inter you wouldn't fuck about without knowing you can agree a fee and you wouldn't take the risk of getting yr hand slapped for tapping him up. it's not worth it.

Unless of course, the reality is that there is a fee agreed and we've actually got a handshake deal already. That may be true.

I don't think it's as far fetched as CityGer suggests either. Tevez may have the club's permission to talk to Inter without a fee agreed beforehand. What's so absurd about that?

Not in the least bothered by this. If he goes, he goes. he has a record of club hopping after a couple of years. Maybe he likes the signing on fees or he just gets bored and finds a new car park for his caravan.

If he's fit and he'e picked to play at Wembley, we can all still rest easy thet he'll give 100%. It seems just the way he does things.

I think I'll believe OP. He has been right about certain things in the past.

Tevez is a fantastic player and I don't know how we can replace him but this was always going to happen with a rag bastard.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

If he is fit for the final he can start on the bench imo. The side have gelled nicely in the last few games. Why upset the balance we have at the moment?

As someone else said, if its 0-0 after 70 mins, bring Tevez on, no brainer, but a place in the squad should be earnt.

If he is fucking us off, we can fuck him off.

Why oh why would any footballer worth his salt want to play football in seria A. I know Inter are a huge club but what a shite league to play in, if he is going to go surely he must want to go to Spain and one of either Barca or Real.

We won 3 matches without him and the team looked pretty good overall..............remember Tevez has been pretty woeful this year so Id bench him and only use him if we are losing for the last 30 or so.

I'd be tempted to leave him on the bench too, but more with one eye on the future than out of spite.

If he goes this summer and we get a good price, fair play to him. We move on and so does he after a successful two-year association.

I think him and Kia Jorjechrbeih have an understanding, where Tevez produces the goods and fuck face makes sure they both get paid a ton. Keep moving clubs, big signing bonuses for fuck face and bigger wages for Tevez

To be honest I thank Carlos for all he has done but the fucking baggage (read Kia) was doing my head in. His transfer request was doing my head in... his form since Christmas is doing my head in.

The team relies too much on Carlos, if he is off form but still in the team we are shit. The last 3 games were won without him and I think we started to look better and moved the ball more freely without him in the team and I am not being bitter about him leaving.

I am sure we will get a lot of money for him (which will help regarding the FFP rules) and possibly even a good player in exchange. Yes it will be hard to replace him but on the other hand the Team can now focus on bedding Edin and Balotelli in properly because they cannot rely on Tevez anymore.

He's had a drop in form, he's just been injured, and the team have been coping well without him - the way they came out after halftime against the RAGs (after a proper captain's talk) is the way I want to see them start in the final and without Tevez. Bench him, he'll still get a medal (of either sort) on the bench won't he? Plus he can daydream about an Italian summer without having to break a sweat.
