We had no outlet in the 2nd half, Tevez would have drifted into space to receive.

You guys haven't got a clue.

It is in no way "bollox". That post is spot on.
I've noticed you popping up in a few threads trying to say we're better off without one of the best strikers in world football.

I think is our fault totally. We started dreaming at the first 3th place and other crap. If Spuds win today it will be hell on earth tuesday.
100 % Bob will play defensiv and will be after the draw and that might cost us if Spuds score early. It's a fucking deja vu. I was expecting something bad with scousers 2, but i thought maybe a draw will be within our reach, but now after we lost things are fucked once again.
For fuck sake, Scoursers 2 had 61 % ball possesion in the second half !

Even if we win the Cup and finish 4th, Bob must go. This is his best. In the summer we need another manager who will take the team to another level.

Again i hope the tangerines can make us smile. Comooooon Halllowaaaay

Eh? Stoke have beaten us once in the league, and once in the cup since they were promoted in 2008 - we've beaten them twice in the league, and drawn twice - hardly a bogey side.

We lost it on missed chances.

Our weakness though, since Hughes' day & possiobly before, has been against direct football. We struggle to stop it & we struggle to play it ourselves when we need to. We had Jo, Balotelli, Dzeko, Lescott etc etc forward at the end, huge blokes & we couldn't get the fucking ball anywhere remotely near any of them. I can play that ball, so why the fuck our players can't I just don't know.

If Everton had those players in the box, the ball would have been coming in fucking relentlessly & they would have got a chance from it. We managed a couple of balls that hit the 1st man & one straight to Howard.

Premier League football is not just about tippy tapping the ball around when things are going right, it's about variety; coping with it & having it in your armoury.

Since Mancini has taken over, they (along with Everton) are the team I hate playing more than anyone.

When I saw they beat Bolton, my heart sank.

If we play like we did 1st half against Spurs & Stoke & PUT AWAY THE CHANCES CREATED we'll hammer the pair of them.

Tevez is as good as any striker we have ever had. Ever. To even start saying we are better or as good without him is just fucking incredible and I just have to shrug and move on.

OD is spot on for me, we are in for a bastard of a ride next Saturday, regardless. Any vague or remotely similar repeat of that spinless display today and we'll be having a nightmare down in London.

I think most of that was under Mancini.. remember we beat them in his first game as manager. Mancini Vs Stoke W1 D2 L1 (the loss is last season's cup match).

Thats pretty much the feeling I get.. its a winners take all game and ok..we've beaten them twice in six games. Doesnt make me feel optimistic tbh. No doubt they'll be happy to lock us out and go to penalties.

Yep - you're right. It's been a huge problem throughout our 25 clean sheets this season.

Keep up the good work mate. You're coming out with some right classics in this thread.

Once they got their 2nd I knew it was game over. We did not have one chance after 75 mins which IMO is shocking for a team vying for Champs League football.

I can’t recall the last time we threw the kitchen sink at someone and had a real good go. Today you saw the confidence drain and people’s heads go. It really worries me in this coming week.

If the likes of Man U go behind they get on the ball and make things happen, us we can’t get anywhere near it and lack any urgency. What the fuck Balo was doing when he was jogging towards that ball and let the Everton player run past him and retain possession is anyone’s guess. That shows me a cant be arsed attitude and pissed me right off.
