Harry says we've sealed two big deals

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

For once, he's not really talking about us, he's looking for money to spend on transfers: City are spending big, Liverpool are back in the market, Chelsea are throwing money around we can count our CL ambitions as in the past unless we do something about it.

If a spending spree isn't really on, he's going to want to set the team up to consolidate finances and wait to pounce if an opportunity arises but otherwise keep the owner happy by spending less money. So if Spurs aren't going to go spending then van der Vaart and Bale are on the market, because they may as well make a profit if they can.

It is Sneijder. Really though, where does the sch comes from? You don't say Schnooker, although that would sound funny. Schniper.
Anyway, it is Sneijder, not Schneijder, he's Dutch, not German.

Just heard him on the radio saying it looks like we are going to do it and we will just keep going on and on improving , he sounded like he has already accepted defeat.

Lets put it this way, with Liverpool's rise in form and his want to not play in Europa next year it is in Harry's interest for Tottenham to lose tonight.

Keeps Liverpool in 5th and stuck in the mess of fixtures that is Europa and out of the glamorous (player attracting) champs league and a gives Harry a free run at 4th next season. I get the feeling he is ready to concede defeat.

As for these signings, I'd lay money one is Kaka. Signing him would be a big fuck you to the media who said Kaka would never join ickle old city! A big sign to all of our progression.

The other, one of Mata and Sanchez. Mata is another Silva (drools) and Sanchez is one the fastest most exciting young talents on the planet right now. I'd love both in truth.

I've a funny feeling on another note we may be seeing the last of Jinky in city colours.. don't know why but I've a feeling he is in great risk of being one of the players who we look to "upgrade" in the summer.

All in all exciting times ahead! Just got to get one more win and seal 4th!

I don't think we'll fall for the 'accepted defeat' bit but if I was a Spurs player, after last night's result & the fact that even if we beat City & win at Anfield, the biggest liklihood is we still don't get 4th; I wouldn't be quite so 'up' for this game as I was for last season's.

Last season they literally had everything to win in one game. This season they have everything to probably not win anyway even if they win the game. Different feeling.

Considering Kaka isn't really producing much magic at Real and frankly, being outperformed by Ozil and di Maria, I wonder how much use he'd be to us. He's already 29 years old, or so, thus he doesn't have many years in him left either.

If we get Schneider(which I believe to be one of them), I don't think Kaka would fit what we need.

Since returning from injury Kaka has played 18 games, scored 7 and assisted 4.

Ozil has played 50, scored 10 and assisted 22 and Di maria has played 51, scored 9 and assisted 20.

Should he play similar games to the other two I'd imagine he probably would eclipse them in terms of goals and equal them in assists. This all coming from a deeper position that he plays compared to the other two at madrid too.

I'd say he still has something to offer.

kaka is still a fantastic player. quite honestly i think madrid would be mental to sell him.

They just signed Sahin from dortmund. Likely more to follow. There is no place for Kaka anymore.

I agree though mental to sell him, although I'd imagine his wages are obscene, likely this is influencing any sale, bang for buck and all that.

Real doesn't know when they have talent and sell them on, i.e. van der Vaart and Sneijder, however, I don't think Kaka is as good as people make him out to be. Don't get me wrong, it is not like he's useless, but at 29 years old, 2nd best to Ozil and di Maria (imo) and we already have a Silva running around in that position, I'm unsure whether this is the player to go for. Besides... last time we went for him, it turned out pretty humiliating.

I just stated in the other thread I really think it might be Kaka on the way...anyone who thinks he wouldn't add to the team is bonkers to be honest
