Not really sure any player would "blow my brains out".

Maybe Casley.

Don't get me wrong, it is not like he's useless, but at 29 years old, 2nd best to Ozil and di Maria (imo) and we already have a Silva running around in that position, I'm unsure whether this is the player to go for. Besides... last time we went for him, it turned out pretty humiliating.

I just stated in the other thread I really think it might be Kaka on the way...anyone who thinks he wouldn't add to the team is bonkers to be honest

THIS.

Kaka as he is right now, would, imo, find it difficult to operate in the Prem. However I recon he's still got quite a bit of potential improvement in fitness to come & has anothr 20% to offer if he stays fit.

The question would be; how much would he cost? If he was part of a deal involving Tevez or Ade, like £35 mil + Kaka for Tevez, or Adebayor + £10 mil for Kaka, then it could be worth it but if they value him at any more than that, I doubt there's a chance in hell City would pay it. Ourt poilicy is to sign younger players. It would have to be a really suitable deal to alter that.

The old twitchy face is smart. First the news that Modric is out, now this. He is doing everything he can to win the mind game. Remember he did the same thing last year, "oh we don't have any chance at City, they will grab the UCL place, bla bla bla"

As a fact, to continue this scenario, Kaka's mum had said 1-2 weeks ago that in this summer that the family willl move to London.

Should he play similar games to the other two I'd imagine he probably would eclipse them in terms of goals and equal them in assists

Maybe on the PS3 he would. In the real world, he'd spend months on the trainers table nursing his fragile limbs. He can't stay healthy in la liga FFS. Do you really think he'd survive 38 games in the PL? At 30 years old?? And you'd risk the 25+ mil to find out???

Sanchez, yes please. Kaka? Pass.

If that's true, he's probably off to Chelsea, which would fit in with the kind of signing they would make: famous, expensive, often injured.

If Kaka just featured as part of our rotation policy we would be stronger. No doubt.

I'll agree though injury issues certainly cloud any move for him.

As such I'd imagine real will let him go relatively on the cheap. Gamble yes, bad one.. maybe not.

If we could land him for ~10 or 12 mill, and he'd be willing to join a rotation, he might be worth a punt, if only to sell some shirts. But bear in mind that 1) he thinks he's a auto-starter, 2) he's brazilian, and 3) he's already given us the finger once before.

1) Possibly but he's been ok with doing rotation at Madrid so why not here? He'll have a much higher chance of starting than benchwarming that's for sure.

2) Fair point.

3) Let's be honest at the time when we went in for Kaka we were sitting in 14th place in the league I believe. At that time Kaka was in the top 5 players in the world. I can fully understand why he wasn't keen.

Sanchez for me is the one I think is gettable.

I'd love to see him in our team, I think he would be outstanding.

i'd be really unimpressed with Kaka, we'd be signing a player who's on the way down and trading on reputation, those he still has class. That makes him a risky buy.

The other issue is that while fans may welcome him at first, there's history there and if there's a setback or two, the knives will be coming out for him. I don't have faith that he'll give 100% effort for us (by a long shot) and given the way our recent transfer history has gone then there's no way we should consider someone in that category. There are plenty of footballers out there who work their socks off and have buckets of skill: Tevez and Silva being good examples. I think that we need someone who works notably hard if we're going to get someone, because there's a big segment of our fans who won't warm to him if he shows any signs of laziness.

From what I have seen of him this year he has been very good and he is not upto speed yet.
I think he has been better than Özil.
However there has been an article on ESPN quoting his mum saying they will be in London come August.
