I think they have won 1 game havent they in their last 12 and STILL they could get past us.It's been the same for weeks that our best chance of 4th is for Spurs to collapse and my god have they done that big style. They have been so bad and we have been poor enough that now Liverpool are in with a shout.

Just as well that we can beat garbage at CoMS and finally beat one away as well after a 4 months spell without a win away.

I havent seen the game today but sadly the result was a little predictable.I have heard the interview with Mancini where he sounded a bit baffled at why players don't score enough from the chances we create.It seemed like,what can I do we create chances we should score we should win,it's not my fault.I thought it was quite funny in a strange way.

But to say we lost it just because of missing chances is a bit naive isn't it. All good teams miss chances but it doesnt mean they will lose those matches. Apart from falling apart a little under a lot more physical pressure ( just like Stoke will do to us) we did concede two poor goals where our center half ( one of the best in the league) was beaten in two airial chellenges and our keeper made a hash of a save for the first goal.Plus they had another really good chance which Joe kept out becaause it hit him

We should have defended better but given those chances, most teams, including us, would normally convert at least one & usually more. Had we done so, it would have been a famous victory probably by more than 2. Also, although we had problems when Everton started launching the ball, they were helped by often bizarre decisions from Dowd, who must have given Everton 90% of decisions around our final 3rd. Surely sometimes it must be their player who was in the wrong ? They are hardly angels. If Baines hadn't been honest enough not to dive, I'm absolutely certain Dowd would have given a penalty for nothing. Unfortunately his team mates weren't so honest & fell at every opportunity. Meanwhile several of our players were kicked elbowed & headbutted & got no change from the ref.

Re Stoke, as mentioned on other threads; it's unlikely Stoke will get the same favouritism at Wembley imo & although I'm sure they'll cause us problems at set pieces etc, if they can close down Silva & co on that Wembley pitch for 90 mins, they probably deserve the cup. I don't think they can. I think we'll get chances there too & also against Spurs. It's up to us to put them away.
