Hart - 9
Richards - 8
Kompany - 9
Lescott - 7
Kolarov - 7
Yaya - 8
Barry - 8
De Jong - 9
Silva - 8
Tevez - 8
Balotelli - 9

Johnson - 7

Mancini - Great. We could have been in trouble if they'd scored at the end though - back four, Zab, De Jong, Vieira, Yaya, AJ, Balo for extra time. Anyhow, pointless to think about, was very well set up from Mancio.

Hart made that one fantastic save after Lescott made his only error. Silva could've had two; my heart always sinks a little when it falls on his right foot.

Balotelli was clever in pretty much everything he did - kept calm, defended tirelessly, slowed the play and found a City player every time he had it. Only a world class save from Sorenson kept him off the scoresheet.

De Jong was great too. They hoofed it every time they were under any pressure but Nigel was the primary reason why Whelan and Delap went AWOL.

They are all 10 except for Barry. No wind up, but I noticed he was on the pitch first time when he went off! So I'll give him 10-.

Honestly, I'm not Nigel's biggest fan but he had MASSIVE game. Make that 11 then.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Everybody did great, apart from maybe Kolarov... why on Earth he shot at goal when he should have squared it is beyond me. Didn't see much of Barry either, apart from one shot that was wildly over.

Balotelli though, what a performance!

10 doesn't do justice to Nige this afternoon, he was simply epic.

Hart - 8 stepped up when needed, once he learns his kicking to the sublime he´s in it for life
Richards - 8 got to love the hunk, fighting for everything
Kompany - 10 top man kompers, set the tone vs Jones and didn´t "kompromise"
Lescott - 9 getting better and better and better
Kolorov - 7 his best game so far, some wasteful shots though but didn´t get raped by the inmate
Yaya - 9 no other player could look so clumsy but still so efficient. Good goal.
Barry - 8 defence is his call and stood his gound, don't offer to much in the offence
De Jong - 8 fighting bull, a dutch ridgeback rhodesian, top dog nige
Silva - 9 better ball control then any, should be more selfish though
Tevez - 8 ok, his first touch leaves a bit to offer
Balotelli - 9 def his best game so far, stood up to provokations and made a shift, seemed 'appy and proud
Johnson - 7 his composure took the long ball spine out of Stoke

Senor Mancini - 9 take bow signori, today was almost spot on. The Silva sub was a clear gamble though, had Stoke scored on the injury time corners it could have been a different matter in e.t

Me- 4 wasn't up to the way I shouldv'e been. I was up though but not the way I've shouldv'e been.

I'm just waiting for someone to do the Player of the match thread so I can vote for Balo. I thought he was so brilliant. So disciplined. Yes the defence was great and Yaya scored the goal but Balo was a cut above today. He's gonna be our Henry. I just know it.

Hart - 8 - Didn't have alot to do but made a great save and had safe hands. His distribution left alot to be desired though.
Richards - 9 - Absolute monster of a game and a contender for moth for me. Brilliant.
Kompany - 8 - Rock solid, got skinned once.
Lescott - 9 - Brilliant, dealt brilliantly with the long balls and Jones.
Kolorov - 8 - Defended pretty well, got forward, wasted possesion a few times.
Yaya - 9 - Excellent. Played really well, covered alot of ground and did well in posession
Barry - 6 - Didn't do much wrong and played steadily.
De Jong - 8 - Was everywhere, got stuck in some good interceptions, wasted posession a few times though.
Silva - 7 - Played well but wasted alot of ball and missed a sitter.
Tevez - 8 - Very good for a guy who was supposedly unfit. Ran the heart out of their defence.
Balotelli - 10 - Brilliant and a bonus mark for behaving like an adult. Top marks to Mario.

Johnson - 7 - did well but nothing major.

Senor Mancini - 10 - Got everything perfect today, went for the game with a brave sub bringing on Johnson. When it matters he DID deliver.

I couldn't believe it when I heard Graham Taylor expressing shock on FiveLive that Mario had won MotM.
Did he not watch the game.
Mario got involved all over the pitch, especially when there was any chance for a goal.
Even took a sharp elbow in the face without retaliating

I was in the crowd today and unfortunately in with the Stoke fans - I heard many comments about just how good our MF is - particularly Nige and Ya Ya - "..men against boys.." was the message
