west ham down ...

west ham down ...

Postby kinkylola » Sun May 15, 2011 5:09 pm

I think that's a real shame ... I think they will have a hard time convincing players to stay in the championship as well. could be the start of some bad times for them. sorry to see it happen, definitely other teams more deserving of a drop. Wigan come immediately to mind.

would you have any west ham players in our team? Ba? Parker? Hitzelsperger? Dunno

I don't think they have any players of the calibre we now need.

they do have a good academy, but who have they produced in recent times?

There will definitely be a clearout, and it may end up being better for their finances, as all high wage earners will be out ... but that also means a loit of the talent as well. It will be interesting to see what happens, but I would like to see them bounce right back up.

I agree that they don't have anyone that would make us stronger, though I do think parker is a good player.

Have to feel for West ham fans they will be gutted, was delighted to see them 2-0 up.

Should be plenty of interest in Parker and Upson.Have a feeling Daglish will be sniffing around.

They are well down the pecking order of teams that I wish could be relegated. I hope it's not a long absence and if they get rid of Grant then they may even bounce straight back up

Walmai, sorry pal, we've been there (as you well know). Hope you keep posting on here

By the way their Chairmen were going on, it's just what they wanted. I wonder if being relegated allows them to get rid of all their costly signings, including wages, with some sort of get-out clause. Afterall, there's got to be something fishy going on there otherwise they'd have sacked Grant months ago. They just didn't want to stay up in my opinion.

Feel sorry for the fans, but not for the owners or manager.

They need to use it as an opportunity to get their wagebill structured a little more realistically (and sustainably) even if it means a few seasons in the championship while they rebuild. Have they any youngsters coming through? Their youth system was quite highly thought of.

Really sad to see them down, as others have said would rather others like Wigan to drop. If they start bad next season Avram will be hoofed and by that stage Warnock would have had the chop at QPR as he isn't a prem manager but knows Div 1 better than anyone. Hopefully we'll see them back soon.

Avram has been sacked by west ham.

He's the first manager to be relegated from the PL in consecutive seasons

Bang goes my theory, I swear they gave him a new deal the other day? Which I thought was bizarre given the situation.

Still I reckon the Hammers will be glad to see the back of him?

West Ham ALWAYS have couple of good players coming through. Always.

They'll bounce back. No question about it.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Do we want Parker or do we want only the very, very, very best? No doubt he is good but he is no Fabregas if you catch my drift?

*edit*

Really fear for West Ham, they're run by a set of cunts.

Asking Wigan for a private room so they could sack Grant on the spot, classy.

I certainly wouldn't put it past them. Maybe they gave him a lift in their private helicopter to save him the embarrassment of sitting with the squad he'd just been relieved of managing on the coach.

They could be in big trouble, this new stadium of theirs might be a ghost town. They're a proper club with decent fans but I really fear for them.
