FA Community Shield 2011

Sunday 7th August 2011 | An annual football match at London's Wembley Stadium, the FA Community Shield event (formerly known as the FA Charity Shield) takes place at the beginning of the English football season. The match is contested between the previous seasons' Premiership Champions and FA Cup winners.

FA Community Shield Teams 2011

The 2011 FA Community shield will be played between 2010/2011 FA Premier League champions Manchester United and 2010/2011 FA Cup winners Manchester City.

Community Shield match rules: The match lasts 90 minutes, comprising of two 45 minute periods that are separated by a 15 minute break. If the scores are level after 90 minutes the match will go to a penalty shootout, where each side takes five penalty kicks each, and the winner is the team who scores more goals in the shootout. If the scores are level after each team has taken five penalty kicks, the match goes to sudden death, whereby each team takes one penalty kick each in succession, and the winner is the team who scores their sudden death kick when the other team misses.

Ticket prices for the 2010 FA Community Shield ranged from £40, £30, £20 and £15, with The Football Association distributing all proceeds to charitable projects across England. If you Google tickets you just get thieving robbing bastard web sites selling tickets more than double the face value. Couldn't find anything on the FA web site yet, just archived stuff.

I am hoping to make this my 7yr old sons first game, I am hoping there will be loads on holiday for this, as I had to turn down a ticket for the final, just didn't have the money.

I think after Barca have mullered the rags they will be so screwed up about the place they will field a 2nd string against us, The place is just not a happy place for them or there badly behaved fans. As mentioned above I also think it will be like the wild west and not for the faint hearted.

This has got to be the dream start to the domestic season.. a season we are going to go all out on the title and knock the rags off their perch.

It's alright but not quite the same as one of the most prestigious awards in world football, Thomas Cook Trophy.

i'm reading your mind fuckface, i've already gotten clearance from ground control...now i just need one cunting fuck client to actually be around to visit in early August...i'll make that work.

Also, England v Holland mid week which i might try and grab a ticket for on that Wed as well.
