We can't buy Kia off of anything. He is Tevez's agent there's not a chance he'd leave his favourite "friend".

Personally I'm still convinced he is off. Obviously saying all this crap because there are still couple of games where he'll play. I think he is going to Italy. Careerwise as stupid move as he can make at this stage but he is banging that fine Italian model ass.

Agree that there is no chance we could pay off Kia to sever links/stop acting for Carlos.

What we could do though is pay him off in the form of some kind of re-signing/loyalty type bonus to essentially compensate him for the fee he "forsakes" by not moving Carlos on.

Clearly we also have to do something to accomodate Tevez's family/model banging conundrum.

It's a big pain in the arse to have to handle for the club and a lot of moving parts BUT Tevez would be extraordinarily difficult to replace. I'm convinced that Dzeko and Mario will be much improved next season but are they sure to be able to step up and plug a 20+ goal gap that Carlos would leave....well, I'd not be wanting to take that risk.

If we bring back Adebayor and sign Drogba then I'd be tempted to just sell Carlos but handling Mario/Ade/Drog in the dressing room/on the bench is probably as big of an arseache as dealing with this Tevez fix.

Tough call but there are not many strikers even potentially out there (never mind actually available!) who could fill the void he would leave

I don't think it's impossible we could pay Kia to fuck off. If Tevez doesn't go soon, he'll never be worth a huge fee as he'll be too old so Kia needs to cash in now. If we tell him Tevez stays here whatever the outcome, he either takes the money or loses it. I think he'd rather have the money than just spened the next few years ruining Tevez & causing shit.Re the family/model banging problem; if they move to Spain or Italy, they can visit him here & if we have a good rotation policy with enough quality strikers, he can fuck off over there on a regular basis & rest up for the big games. We end up with a fit, happy Tevez for all the big games. We know he'll put the effort in when he plays, so everybody wins.

This is the real crux of the matter and one we've got to resolve if Tevez is to stay. However, given the looming FFP regulations, rather than paying Joorabchian off, which could be inordinately expensive, it might be a lot cheaper to just put a 'contract' out on him and have him quietly removed from the scene. Either that, or bite the bullet and sell the player for as much as we can get.

Just give him a 'consultanty' job in Abu Dhabi, paid for by another company. No FFP. Many deals can be done this way.

That's the sensible option, Ted.

However, I'm a silly so-and-so and I have a slight preference for the 'value for money', contract option as it somehow appeals to my, albeit perverted, sense of fair play.

Incidentally:

City manager Roberto Mancini has reiterated he would not block Tevez's departure if the captain no longer wants to remain at Eastlands.

However, Mancini denies telling the Argentinian striker he can leave and would like to see him continue his career with the FA Cup holders.

"I never said that Carlos wanted to go to Italy. He has a fabulous contract with us. He's our captain and is an important player for us," said the Italian.

"I don't know if he was saying goodbye after the game on Saturday, you'd have to ask him.

"It's important to work with a team if you believe in the project. If I'm not happy, I leave. This is true for everyone in every job.

"For me, he stays here. He wants to stay. I've spoken with him and he said to me 'why you say I want to leave?'

"I told him I never said that. Never! I believe he wants to stay."

for whatever the reasons good or bad i don't see why Tevez is not allowed to have concerns about his family life. Some people need to have a think and get a bit of a grip.
Anyways as I keep saying, there was never any evidence to say that him leaving was happening or cut and dried. Still think he is more likely to stay than leave. Still think that the team need to be as good without him as with him.. and they are getting closer to that imo.

Just shows how easy it is for people to be misrepresented by the media, and that is probably the biggest problem with this saga - misrepresentation. We've seen all the stories but most haven't had a shred of evidence ortruth to them yet some of our own fans jump on some sort of Bashing Bandwaggon, doing the media's job and destabilising our own players and club to boot.

I didn't think there was much misrepresentation in his transfer request. I thought it was written and quite clear.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
