My first thought was "nige obviously". But Micah is a very very good shout because he looked doomed.
Nige stepped up a level this season, almost as though he realised that as a World Cup finalist, he was a truly elite player.

next season, I'm expecting shit or bust from Mario.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

I'm typing this with one hand whilst eating humble pie in the other but fir me there can be only one winner for most improved and that's Micah..the turnaround has been nothing short of incredible

We're not that bad at set-pieces. We've actually been scoring a fair few. Hart just went for 27 clean sheets so we're doing something right in defence, and that includes set-pieces.

Take last two games as an example, Stoke. They ripped Arsenal apart from set-pieces but we just went two matches against them and they didn't score and we were comfortable from their set play. Lescott scored a header and Tevez scored a free kick. Even the winner against Spurs came from a short corner.

We could be better from set-pieces, but we're not nearly as bad as people seem to think.

Why?

This season it's Micah by a clear margin, although de Jong, Lescott and Zabaleta have all improved.

Next season obviously AJ, Balotelli and Dzeko have the most room for improvement.

Gotta be without a doubt Vinny.... start of last season Kolo n Lescott arrived with big price tags everyone saying Vinny would be pushed out, did he see his arse n fuck off no he proved everyone wrong n improved n improved, this season he has beyond a shadow of a doubt been one of if not the best centre half in Europe, anyone who disagrees please tell me given free choice who would you be prepared to swap him for???? NO FUCKER is the answer. Absolute total professional on and off the pitch says the right things plays the right way n always looking to improve n not a sniff of an ego this guy is pure gold n we are lucky to have him £6 million what a fuckin steal

NDJ is up there with the same attributes as Vinny but I feel he has always shown this and for me is the top defensive midfielder in the world bar none, I dont believe there was much room for improvement but he has worked on his distribution now just to master that shootin n jobs a good en. But Vinny has improved the most from where he started to where he is now

Next season i have 3 to watch
1. David Silva - Brilliant from xmas onwards and got better and better however his shooting is poor and needs to improve, now he is firmly settled with his first season under his belt lets see what the little genius is capable of next term

2. Super Mario - In his own words he has been shit this season but the cup final is a sign of things to come, his passing was better his mental state seems to be improving and when things start to happen for this kid he will be on fire, confidence n not getting frustrated are key factors in his success. But he is starting to look happy now and has said so in a few interviews, took him time to settle at a young age a big step. Big game player defo n one to watch

3. Edin Dzeko - First season in germany he was shite but Bobby has been smart here and stated he brought him in at xmas to give him time to settle for next season and get used to the game, once he is upto the speed of the premiership n he starts to let things flow naturally and the pressure eases on him he will be a power house trust me on this

Also just like to add good to see Micah back to his best and looking like he will fulfill his potential Bobby has got his feet back on the ground n he is capable of nailing down the right back spot in the national team as well as ours if he continues like this... Jerome who? Well done Micah
