SOUND FAMILIAR BOLLOX He just needs to ask for £150k a week now .... the cent
Daniel Sturridge has warned parent club Chelsea that he will be forced to look elsewhere if he is not a first-team regular next season.
The 21-year-old striker has proven his Premier League pedigree during a loan spell at Bolton, notching eight goals in 11 appearances since his arrival in January.
That return is considerably better than the combined efforts of those still at Stamford Bridge, with Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka all struggling for form.
Sturridge, who will see out the campaign with the Trotters, hopes his efforts at the Reebok Stadium will convince Chelsea that he is worthy of a starting role in 2011/12.
It remains to be seen whether he will be granted that wish, with there still some confusion as to who will be in charge of the capital giants next term.
The England U21 international has made it clear, though, to whoever is at the helm that he expects to be given games or he will seek another move.
"I want to play at Chelsea but if the chances don't come at Chelsea, then I will have to look elsewhere."
"I want to play first-team football regularly for Chelsea Football Club," Sturridge told Sky Sports News HD.
"I love the club. I have been at the club now for a year-and-a-half and have been on loan at Bolton. I love playing football for Chelsea.
"I don't want to say I am going to leave the club, I want to play regularly, but for me next season it is very important to play first-team football.
"I want to play at Chelsea but if the chances don't come at Chelsea, then I will have to look elsewhere."
Pressed on whether he would look for another loan deal or a permanent switch, Sturridge added: "Whatever Chelsea's decision is. It's not for me to make that decision.
"The only decision I can make is that I want to play first-team football and that's the one that I choose to take. First-team football is very important for me next season."
While Sturridge has found himself deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues this season, he insists the 2010/11 campaign has been a productive one on the whole.
He said: "It's not frustrating at all. I'm enjoying my time at Bolton, it's been going great. I love playing for Chelsea Football Club and there is nothing else to say."

In the first team ? Technically, he could play 1st team football, but do it in the reserves. I think he needs to be more specific.

Sturridge is a typical not quite good enough. reminds me of sheron he is never going to be the player we needed to take us where we are going. Mark my words, City WILL win on sunday, the last 3 games have all been 'must' win and we have won, there is no longer a 'typical city' mentality at our club we have all seen so many false dawns, but the whole ethos of our beloved club has changed....we are now winners, and winners win. 3rd will be taken care of on sunday and then after that i dont dare speculate what will happen.one thing i know for sure is that it will be positive. Waited a long time and i aint apologising for enjoying it

Basically put Ruthless, but I agree with the sentiment. Even when he arrived at Chelsea I heard 'Big Time Charlie' was asked to leave his first rented apartment due to late night disturbances etc. I see now he's giving Chelsea ultimatums.

Mr.Studge seems to have pissed off a lot of people on here.I wonder if its because most people know he is very good and was our big hope before we got the money. For me he has not done anything that I think most people in his situation wouldn't have done.I have never heard him slag us of.
Acting like a Mr.Big I do not find offensive. He is still a bit of a kid and when all the stuff happened to him he cannot have had much life experience.I should imagine that from a relativley young age he has been treated like he was special and can take liberties that are not open to normal people.

I would think he has a Premier League winners medal somewhere and I think he has played in a few CL matches.

Has nothing but good things to say about us, deep down i think he regrets it and wishes he was here. If Chelsea wanted my and i was playing under Mark Hughes, i think i would fuck off as well.

Indeed, I bet he feels really satisfied contributing 73mins towards that in his first season .... he played six times longer the season before for us. Still, done now, I aint bothered anymore tbh, he's gone, his decision, stiff shit.

It will matter to Joe Hart and he will keep the boys fully aware of that for the 90. While Sturridge is good he isn't that good that they won't see to him,
plus he will need the service in the first place
