Top interview, the man is just class. The club is in good hands and we really have exciting times ahead of us.

There was a good business case with us in terms of being an investment rather than paying a premium for a ready made team, some of this has been mentioned earlier. There was the contact with Thaksin and the fact that he'd be taking over what Thaksin wanted to go. The other benefit of that has be that we have accepted the takeover completely and quickly. There were no protests, there's been no grumbling, no mistrust. Even when fans haven't been happy, it hasn't been directed at the ownership.

Look at the other clubs, Newcastle very quickly went sour and things very quickly got personal and bitter. The scum fans have never accepted the Glaziers. The Liverpool situation has calmed down for the moment with the new owners keeping a low profile but it got really bad there for a while.

We're in this together. Manchester City are in an experiment to be transformed into the club of the future, and we're doing things that no one else is doing, e.g. the family stand, City Square and all the massive investment in the area. We're aiming to be more than a club, even if we don't fully understand what that means yet.

Surely we have a really good Chairman, he is totally in the know about the club, he talks sense too. We are lucky to have him. I am starting to believe we will win the league!!

Liked the bit where he mentioned the Sheik felt year 4 was going to be the big one. Nice to see he realised that trying for instant success was not an option

Absolutely cements what I have always thought.

We are dealing with very special people here who have a plan to make us the biggest football club on the planet and make no mistake it will be delivered.

Buckle your seats and get ready for lift off!

Khaldoon really does give the impression that he's a bloke who knows what's needed & has it all under control.

Agreed. I was amazed though that he virtually never mentioned Mancini! A passing mention of Roberto at 7 or 8 minutes in and maybe the word manager a few times. I found that weird.

At least he did mention him in context of having the final say on signings so we can rule out any nasty, surprise managerial shenanigans!

I thought that strange too, although a direct question regarding Mancini was never asked. I'm sure the interview was 'choreographed', and by saying that, that Khaldoon knew the questions more or less beforehand.
However, nothing sinister of course, although it would have been a bloody obvious question in the conext of a season review.
