We'll find out - either the club will get Tevez to refute the article if it's mischief making, or there will be a deafening silence if it's true.

We could get a deafening silence anyway as we have a game Sunday & Tevez may actually be leaving afterwards even if he didn't say it on the radio! Too many intricate details to bother with imo. Just play a straight bat, win the game & then sort it afterwards.

Amen.

Stay if you want to stay, brilliant. Go if you need to go and let us move forward.

I just fear this will drag on until august and then he fucks off and doesn't leave us enough time to find replacement. Thing is, we need to sell him early if we are going to sell. Making deals for the calibre of player that could be his replacement takes months and months and we need to start doing the deal NOW.

thankfully we arent run by utter morons these days so im sure if they have found out from carlos himself that its true we are already making calls to get a deal sorted with a major club.

I would have more respect for him if he didn't hide behind his children. Just say I love making money and I want my mate Kier to get a big fuck off signing on fee.

If it was about his kids he should man and take a pay cut and move back to Argie but we all know this is a smoke screen. Not sure how moving to Italy helps his children and him for that matter, not sure how much Spanish they speak in Milan.

this is crucial to City, not only on the field but merchandise, if he is gone better be quick, MCFC is bigger than Carlos Tevez and will be around a lot longer. Let Roberto nail this today at the Press for Bolton game.

EXACTLY Andie. Like I said earlier, as a father of young family I could FULLY understand him genuinely wanting to be close to his children. I mean it breaks my heart to be away from my lad for few hours. BUT it's not about that really and it's fucking disgusting that he is using his kids as an excuse.

He wants to milk more money? That's up to him. He wants to live with that 18 year old busty Italian swimsuit model he was hanging with when Club gave him permission to take time off to be with his kids. Ok then, if that's what he wants. But don't try to make it like we are some sort of baddies that don't let him be with his kids. We have bent over backwards to help him spend as much time with his family as possible. And it's not exactly our foult he is divorced.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

How long did it take for Tevez to finally come out and say he was signing for us? 2 or 3 months?? Expect a similar time scale for us selling him.

He can't do that though as no club in Argentina can afford his fee.

At the end of the day, it's just a job for him and he doesn't have to love the club like we do. As long as he puts in 100% (which he does), then he's doing his job. In many industries, people work somewhere for a couple of years and then move on, and work in different countries. I don't understand why so many people think footballers should behave differently. Players like Le Tissier and Giggs are few and far between. I'm not saying I agree with what he's doing - I honestly believe he can achieve so much if he stayed at City, not to mention be worshipped by the fans. But I can understand it if he does move on, whether it's financial or family reasons.

The club won't comment on this until after Sunday - why get into these issues publicly when we have a huge game coming up? I'd imagine stuff is going on behind the scenes one way or the other and we'll hear next week more about this, and considering how the club operates these days, I'd imagine it will move relatively quickly.

Tbf, if he did take a pay cut to go to Argie, there would be the small matter of his £50 million transfer fee. I recon he'd be off there tomorrow if that could be solved.

The truth will come out IF his wife & kids move to Italy or Spain if he goes there. If they do, then we can see some truth in the situation. If they don't, he's a lying little cunt.

My take is that I think Mancini and the club are ready to move on without him, and leaving him on the bench for the whole game against Spurs was his way of reminding Tevez who calls the shots.

Im sure Khaldoun and co wont be effed about either. Thing is, he's on £200k a week and his transfer value is £40 - £50m at the least - who can afford that? Its a very small pond he is looking at, Real, Inter, Chelsea and thats probably about it. As he's got 3 years left on his contract he wont be going anywhere unless the deal suits us, and if such a deal doesnt appear then he can stay and play, or sit on his arse and we will wait him out.

The good thing these days at City is that "needing money" is out of the equation now, and Kia is trying to play hardball with some people much richer and much more powerful than he is. All politics at the moment but the facts are Tevez/Kia want a move, and City will only grant this on terms favourable to us. Both sides want to potray themselves nicely to the press, with Tevez using his kids and City stating he "wants to stay" thus forcing Tevez to confirm he in fact wants to go.

Its a big political game but thank god we have 1 game to go, and then Tevez will disappear to Argentina where he can do more radio interviews and press ones about his kids again, who were'nt on his mind when he dropped his keks for that model he's been knocking off.

Tevez is a good player, but its all about him - City as a club is bigger than any player and we are now playing the political game for our own ends which is the way we should. We arent going to sell until its a deal we want and Tevez and Kia will no doubt find this out over the next few weeks.

Who could afford to pay the price plus wages with regard to FFP?

That's the question I was asking. Only Real & Barca. BUT, as NQDP brought up the possibility of a Sneijder AND Eto'o swap on the other thread, that would get two sets of wages off Inter's books & replace them with one.

Jack Pitt-Brooke, the lonesome death of roy carroll blog man, is spot on regarding Tevez's situation...

Taken from his twitter (read from bottom upwards - its in reverse order as i copy and pasted it)
TLDORC Jack Pitt-Brooke
City fans can't feel too hard done by over this either. Tevez's disagreeable nature + restlesness is the v reason why he joined in 2009.

Simply putting Dzeko/Balo in that Tevez role has led to City looking disjointed. Sanchez playing off Dzeko/Balo: happy days.

And Dzeko/Balotelli not a straight replacement. Why Sanchez would be so important: making up for drop of energy/movement/imagination.

As a player, we'll certainly miss him. Unlike any other striker I've seen at City. Certainly the very best.

Rather this Tevez stuff was sorted out sooner rather than later.

He's completely spot on. Priority should be to do everything possible to snare Sanchez as soon as we can.

To be fair though Ruxpin that's an unfair comparison...Sanchez is a winger and i'm sure if he could deliver service into the box both Balo and Dzekos goal ratio would rise significantly next season

Can't believe the hysteria already.

We don't know if this interview happened and, if it did, when it was recorded.

What I do know is that it is totally contradictory to his previous, recent, ACTUAL interview saying that he needed to see his family, discuss and think. So a large part of me thinks this is destabilising bollocks from the hostile media.

However, it could be true and if it is he needs to shit or get off the pot.

We should go for Sanchez irrespective of whether Tevez goes or not as either way we are and have been overly reliant on him to stretch defences.

I would be shocked if he had given such an interview before the end of the season....if only due to the fact that he still has to face his teammates and Mancini and, frankly, it doesn't seem like his style.
