Anyone know was his absence, at the parade, with or without permission?

Well if he got permission to miss it it's going to cause a bit of friction imo.

He wanted to be there and even laid on plans for his family to be there........apparently something came up that he had to go to Italy.....nothing sinister.....and nothing for us to worry about either apparently.

It doesn't matter if he didn't show up to the parade. The only thing that matters is that he showed up to the final and helped us win the thing.

He's been picked to be in the Italy squad, is it anything to do with that?

Probably not, like as not he thought that going off to pick mushrooms was a better use of his time

It's all above board, he had a game of darts to attend in Italy.

So who is watching Lucky? Surely having just cleared quarantine he could not go back to Italy.

The media are such shitstirring cunts. The mail says that Kidd says he had been authorised to miss it for family reasons and adds "this is categorically denied by sources close to the player"

What a load of scurrilous shit!

If anyone on here believes ANY of the shit they will be trying to get people to buy into re Mario missing last night then they are a total cunt....fact

I actually think last night would have been right up Mario's street and that there must be a genuine reason for him missing it.

Abso-fucking-lutely. I don't think for a minute that he would've skipped it just to piss anyone off. Does he sound like a guy who'd miss a party and chance to act like fool?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

The fact is that we're just going to have to get used to news about club being reported in the worst possible light in some quarters.

On Talk Sport this morning Mario is a "spoilt brat" who has "snubbed city" leaving club official "furious"......I'd like to say it comes with the territory (success and spending) but I don't recall news on other clubs having such a negative spin applied to it on such a widespread and consistent basis.

A I say, we're going to have to get used to it. Hey ho.

To be fair to Given, he didn't participate in either the League or FA Cup campaign ....

Talking to my folks yesterday after a fantastic night of happy celebration, I said the media will run with 'Balotelli snubs City'. It suits their agenda.

Indeed, it seems to be the Mail leading the way on this one as well .... they are probably upset as they were the main ones banging on about Tevez not turning up yesterday, they really seem to have it in for us, mind it gives the Muslims a bit of a restbite.

Nor did Stu Taylor who didn't get one minute of football but still made an appearance. Mario suits their agenda as he is high profile and an easy target hence the grief he is getting.

Not that Mario will give a rat's arse though. I'm confident he wasn't there for a proper reason.

They tried to make a story out of Tevez, first that he wasnt going to be there, then that he'd been ORDERED to be there - when they got direct quotes from the man himself that he never had any intention of missing it since it was a night for the fans they moved on to Balotelli.
