I would have liked to see caicedo come on instead of Jo the other day.

He looked better than a lot of Premier forwards to me, Pique looked tired, however Cac looked well worth a another look to me.

Haven't we already given Levante a low-price option on him? So they just give us a million and sell him for five? Not sure, just something at the back of my mind.

Caicedo is a good player who's going to get better. I will not be surprised if he end up at a big club in couple of years time. There are rumours Levante will buy him for €1 million and sell him straight away to a Russian team for €10mil. I hope he doesn't get carried away by the money and stays for at least 1 more year in Spain so he can improve his technique and work rate. If he go to Russia he won't develop his potential.
PG - Why don't you do an occasional Anglo-Spanish football piece on here? (i.e. progress of English loanees in Spain, some info on Spain-based transfer targets of English clubs, which Spanish clubs are interested in England-based players, young LFP players to look out for etc.)
I for one would love that. I regularly read Spanish newspapers and Spanish sports newspapers but they're even worse (and even more filled with bullshit) than ours. I'd love to read stuff written by a normal, knowledgeable fan.
My English is not good enough for this kind of stuff I'm afraid, if you ask me for something youth football related I might be able to help you. I know you signed a youngster from Celta but I don't know much about him.

Not fussed about big Phil.. can't see him working for us or in the Prem. Guidetti doesn't now surprise me that he is having a re-think. If i were him i would play good regard to the fact that Mancini under the pressure of ensuring something this season was very unlikely to be trying out EDS players in any significant way, a new season with basically less pressure on Bob and things could be different, 4 comps to spread the squad into, coupled with the new found City attitude and even the possibilities of CL minutes, i'd be telling myself this wouldn't be a bad place to stick around for another year and work to get a chink of an opening.
As we are talking about fringe players here.. are we finally going to say Ta-Ra to Jo this summer ?

Felipe scored two goals yesterday against Brazil.
The first was a bit lucky and 'keeper should've saved that but second was a good shot from 20 yards.
Seems like he's a goner but it was still nice to see him do well

Saw both goals as well and watched bit of the game. Second one was fine finish indeed and first one was exactly kind of goal he has been scoring all season. His first touch still looked shite though.
From financial point of view poor deal but he wouldn't have had any future with us so all the same to me.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Is his first touch as bad as Dzeko's? ;-)

I thought that then he ripped Pique to bits and I thought he is a player woth a second look.

I've always loved Caidcedo.
I secretly don't want him to leave.
But it's probably better for him to leave and get some games.

A crazy deal to have struck even if we did just want him off the books, a rumoured 1000% profit for Levante and they probably didn't even have to pay all of his wages whilst he was there on loan either. At £850k we might as well have given him a free transfer (by our financial terms and considering that is already a huge loss on what we paid for him) so just send him on loan and wait and see how it goes, if he's a roaring success we get multiple millions for him if not just give him a free transfer.
I'd hoped we'd learnt this lesson with Miller where we probably missed out on an extra £mill but this is bordering on incompetence
