By the their own admission, or that of their fans Barca do not represent Spain - they are Catalans. They leave the Spanish representation to the Madrid clubs!

I am not holding that against them as much as their propensity to fall over in a slight draft. On the radio this morning they were trying to say they didn't understand why lots of English football fans were not wanting Man U you to win. I was shocked that they were so thick and thought they obviously had never come across the arrogant red shite fans we all do on a daily basis.

I really don't get the argument about supporting a British team in the Champions League final against a Spanish one. Given where the players come from, the claim that they are somehow representative falls away quite quickly. Apart from where their corporate offices and bank accounts are registered, clubs have little natural connection with the country as a whole, apart from in the imagination of football supporters who want to turn the tie into war without bullets.
Might be different if it was anyone but them, but probably not. I'd rather see football win.
