Redknapp has stated Bale, VDV and Modric are defintely going nowhere. It would take a monster sum to prise each one away and no club wants to pay stupid ££ upward of £40m wich is what they would demand.

Common sense must apply before posting utter shite

And Tevez has been quoted as saying he is leaving and not leaving.. really means little unless Modric told you personally on video and you post it.. just saying...

Come on Wonderwall, I think you are worse than the original poster to believe anything that twitchy cunt says, he is probably the worst source of info this side of Tribal Football.

Are you sure it's Modric and not some other Luka type?

Beginning to surface in france that we have won the race to sign Gervinho.

If true should condemn the Modric rumour, to merely rumour. Not a chance we'd sign both players.

I love how the link is in french, lol

Fortunately [strike]I'm fluent[/strike] able to use microsoft word to translate it. (not the best translation however!)

“Between leaving and remaining, there is always a choice to make. There remains to me one year of contract and one is always in discussions. What is sure, it is that either I prolong, or I from go away”, said Gervinho two days ago. However, before, the weather had stated to have already been its choice. A choice which it still kept for him. There is a chance to see it remaining with Lille one additional season, to dispute the League of the Champions with the LOSC?

The answer is negative. According to our information, Lille would have fallen from agreement with Manchester City around an allowance of transfer of 17,5 M€ ! A very tidy sum of money which the LOSC did not even hope to obtain because of the contractual situation of international of the Ivory Coast. Vis-a-vis the great competition on this file, Manchester City left the heavy artillery, a trifle for the Mansour owner, in order to take the top.

Gervinho would have on its side an already ready contract with astronomical wages! Citizens thus have a big length in advance on Arsenal, which it is hard to imagine to propose such amounts. The light preference of the Man from the Ivory Coast for can Gunners leave an ultimate hope to Gunners?

I'm just glad to see us do something in this window, even though I'm not sure of the logic behind this particular one. I'm with Alioune DVT on this, great player but not as good as Silva

He's a decent player, very quick, got good final product, direct runner, can play on the wing or through the middle. Not worth the money quoted but would definitely offer us something we don't already have I reckon.

I havent a clue what a footballers worth these days TBH

Gervinho

54 games for Lille in the last two seasons and 25 goals
19 international caps for the ivory coast and 5 goals
Has played in the world cup
Valued at £17M

Jordan Henderson
Done fuckall but has a reputation that he is one for the future
1 international cap
He is English
Valued at £20m

Phil Jones
Showed some promise in a couple of games last season
made 34 first team appearances
0 international caps
He is english
Valued at £17m

Ashley Young
Played at the top flight for years
156 first team appearances for Villa and 30 goals
15 international caps and 2 goals
He is English
Valued at £20m

Andy Carroll
Played a handfull of games in the top flight
Had a good season in the championship
2 international caps and 1 goal
A total of 97 first team appearances under his belt with 34 goals
He is english

Someone help me make sense of this, cause Henderson is absolute Madness IMO, so is Carroll

No sure what the exchange rate is at the moment, but that's €17m.

And he is in the last year of his contract and as far as I know only Ashley Young has that time left on his.

Forget my whole Gervinho musings, he's Arsenal bound, set to be done by weekend so says Ian Mcgarry and he's usually reliable, certainly more so than some french site.
