Most shirts IMO are naff.Wear them to the match and around the house or if going to watch the game at a pub but otherwise I have little use for one.Its our shade of blue so anything else I don`t really care.
Has there ever been a stylish one.
I liked the EIDOS one simply because of the joke I heard to go with it.
As long as the shirts are our shade I don´t care.Beauty is subjective

How can they do such a wonderful job of the away kit and monumentally fuck up the home shirt!

I think they've managed to fuck up the away shirt too. How do you get Red & Black stripes wrong. The sleeves are minging.

Both the home (if it is the home) and away are fucking horrendous. Umbro gave us two years of quality now these turds.

Disgraceful

I like the away better than the last red/black with the white lines on it.

The new kit reminds me of the Eidos one from around 2002 when Eyal scored that great volley vs Ipswich.

What I'd like to know is....do they not actually show these to any actual City fans before settling on the final design.

I cannot believe that any supporter of this club would have said "ohh LOVE that" about that fucking abomination. If they did, the cunts should be tarred and feathered.

it's unlike you xavi to react so passionately to a kit thread. ;-)

I really don't get what everyone is bitching about. We've had 2 years of retro style kits, it's time to push the boat a bit. V necks are cool, and apart from a white strip on the side and navy lettering, it's pretty similar. Our sponsors who pump a SHITLOAD more money into the club than you or I are entitled to be a bit more prominence on the shirt now that we're in chumps league.

The shirt is fine.

Ha well I do buy them all regardless of the look so I have a bit of a vested interest in what we're churning out.

I really don't get what everyone is bitching about. We've had 2 years of retro style kits, it's time to push the boat a bit. V necks are cool, and apart from a white strip on the side and navy lettering, it's pretty similar. There are basic fuck ups with both shirts that make them look horrible.

Home -

- The V neck is horrific
- The sponsor/Umbro logo should be white as the dark writing on light background looks crap.
- Those dots on the front are completely unnecessary

Away -

- The long sleeve version is horrible.
- Yellow sponsor logo yet white name/number printing on the back. Why the difference? If the EPL don't allow yellow names then have the sponsor match at the very least.

They're a couple of basics that don't require much of a designer mind to implement and would make shit shirts look at least average.

The two reasons i would suggest above all else for this being fake is a lack of the 'tailored in england by umbro badge in the collar' and those sleeves sit on top of the shirt.

Also if you look at existing shirts were the sleeves are a combination of the cotton t-shirt feel and the elasticicty so that they wrap around the arms.
