Consistent with last year's policy where the Valencia match was announced in Spain weeks before at City, it seems a pre-season friendly with the rich Sheik's club Malaga is on the cards. Nice little jolly if away:

Málaga dont only want a high-quality team for next season. Every detail is being attended to to leave their intentions of growth clear in the next season. The choice of opponents for the summer is proof of this. According to Cadena Ser yesterday, the club has agreed a pre-season friendly with Manchester City at a date to be determined. A high-level duel against another club owned by a Sheik, Mansour Al-Nayhan.

The team managed by Roberto Mancini has evolved in the last few seasons into the nouveau riche of English football, just what Abdullah Al-Thani longs for with Málaga.
