When will sky make their call on games for tv?

Hopefully this'll be the first time i see city score more than once in a game.

its usually a few weeks before Sky announce their TV games up until Xmas. One if not two of the Premier league newbies normally make the cut for a Live game on the opening weekend

City V Swansea seems to me to be the Game they will definitely put on TV

Wigan v Norwich and QPR v Bolton are not exactly blue ribbon events

I was thinking we might be one of the tv games

I was going to fly in saturday morning and out monday afternoon, jus afraid of it getting scheduled on the monday night.

SKY always show thw Champions and a promoted team on the first Saturday. As the PL have taken the outrageous decision to deny Scum their usual home fixture against a promoted team, then my bet is they'll show Scum at lunchtime and us at teatime. Or at worst on Sunday. But they may be so shocked by the fixtures that you never know.......

1–2 November 2011 - QPR Away

Fuck me sideways.

Well, last year:-
Fulham Away W
Blackburn Away W
Utd Away L
QPR Away ???
Liverpool Away L
Chelsea Away L

So out of the five we played last year we only got six points, repeat that and we're no worse off.

Second, who knows how the CL fixtures will pan out. Eg, City at home on the tuesday, Utd away in eastern Europe on the wednesday, I think we'd be better off.

Surely we aren't starting to panic already?

Actually, that's pretty bad. Don't want to play promoted teams/relegation favourites early or late in the season. They always overperform then.

Last game of the season at home is schweet though.

Blackpool got a good beating on their firast and last games. I expect us to have a better pre-season than last year and come out all guns blazing...swansea had better watch out :-)

Be nice to rack up some good goal difference on the opening day!

Well with NO World Cup ala last yr & No players @ at U21's, players won't be drifting back late, without wholesale changes to the squad i am EXPECTING a real statement of intent for us to open at home with a thrashing of the Swans.

Gotta be happy with Swansea at home as an opener. Will this game be history in the making, 1st English/Welsh fixture in the top flight/Prem League?

There is a full international friendly calendar the midweek before we play the first game. Will we get dispensation for our players to be rested because we play at wembley the weekend before as well?

No. Cardiff has played in English top flight.

It will be first in Premier League era but I personally LOATHE the way people rewrite history according to when Premier League was set up.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Strangely enough, I accidentally stumbled upon that fact the other day. They finished runners up in 1924. Huddersfield won the league! Cardiff have won 2 FA Cups as well. It's amazing when you look back, how many clubs have been a force at the top level then faded into obscurity.
