Whats the craic with moving my seat?

Postby Nick » Mon Jun 20, 2011 12:40 pm

I haven't renewed yet, do i have to renew before (is it the 23rd?) then ring up and try to get our seats moved?

I've moved twice.

You have to renew, give them a call and they'll let you know the date you can move from.

Then once you're allowed to move you have to keep ringing up asking for a move until you get the seat you want, the trouble is every advisor you speak to tells you different things, some are lying bastards who just plain dont want to help and so tell you nothing is available and some are really helpful and give you the seats you want. I have found that despite being told twice that I couldnt have the seat I wanted that I got it on my third time of calling. (I knew it was available because a mate of mine gave up his ST)

Most of the advisors lie and say there is nothing available, but I found by chatting to them and being nice every now and again you get someone who wants to help?

Good Luck.

Thanks alot for that mate, very helpful. Yeah I hate phoning the ticket office, I have no idea why 90% of them lie every week with regards to what blocks are actually sold out. I was under the impression I would have to go down to COMS/ phone early on the day everyone can move? I hope not. I do want to move to an in demand area though, and I cant be arsed mooching from York every other weekend for my Seat on row A to get abuse from the stewards for 90mins.

you need to renew like he says, then you can relocate but not before 29th

I'm in the same boat and this is spot on advice. I renewed on Friday. No way am I sitting on bloody Row 3 again. Though I got an insanely great view of Carlitos leathering in that free-kick.

I've moved for the last two years (still not found a decent devoid of surrounding knobbers) and they actually let me move to available seats, i.e. ones not occupied by current season card holders, when renewing. Not renewed this year yet, might wait till the store reopens and kill multiple birds with one stone, so I don't know if this is still the case but I can't see why they would change it.

I had two seats together but stupidly I gave one up last season (for financial reasons) but I regretted it pretty much all year. I've just renewed the other day so now I'm thinking of trying to get myself another seat and then possibly re-locate my old one so it's next to it - I imagine they'll tell me it 'can't be done!' :-)

presumably they're giving away seats that were empty, so basically mostly shit seats.
From 29th they'll know who hasn't renewed and the good ones will be available.
